The hotel is very new! The lobby and rooms have very cute, cozy and modern decor. We had a king bed in our studio room which was very comfortable! The the little kitchenette was a wonderful addition because we took advantage of enjoying coffee in the mornings we were there and some cider when we first arrived! I didn’t opt for the 5 stars for a few reasons but the reasons being very small and may not even bother most guests! The particular room we stayed in was right above the main lobby on the second floor. We heard so many noises from the downstairs doors opening/closing, people’s drawers in the next room and anyone talking outside down on the sidewalk. The room/hotel is also adjacent from 2 bars that have late bar hours. Both bars have outdoor little hang out spots so we could hear the patrons at those facilities well into the night. The first night of our stay we even heard two rounds of fire works. They sounded like fire crackers and went off after 10 and 11pm. I also feel like it would be nice to have some dimming in the hallway after a certain hour. The lights were so bright and when the door opened it illuminated the entire studio room. We stayed at that hotel For a wedding and it wasn’t the ideal set up for getting ready. It would be convenient if the room had a full length or at least a bigger mirror. The linens/ towels were all very clean and the room was immaculately clean! No complaints in that area. Roslyn is very convenient in that you can walk everywhere in town! This hotel is great for that purpose. We didn’t move our vehicle the entire trip! Which was nice since parking can be tricky if you’re a guest at the hotel. We go to Roslyn frequently so I believe we will stay there...
Read moreWe spent 6 nights at the hotel , basically using it as a place to sleep and relax while spending vacation time with our extended family while they were in a house in nearby Suncadia. We found the room (a king) to be spotlessly clean, appointed with luxurious linens, as advertised, and the kitchen area to be very well set up for a family to cook meals and eat there-service for 8, full sized dishwasher, nice refrigerator, a table to seat four, etc. The private patio looked pleasant. HOWEVER, there was NO CLOSET, nowhere to hang up clothes, no place to hang a damp bath towel. The bathroom sink had virtually no surround to put toiletries on, and not really any space in the cabinet underneath. There was no bureau, and no chair that was comfortable to watch tv in-only hard kitchen chairs. I had to ask the front desk for a mat for the shower after neatly falling on the super slippery shower floor as we could find no anti-slip mat in the room. Upon reaching home after our trip I discovered that we were charged more for Saturday and Thursday nights than the rate that was quoted to me when I booked. Yes, had the office been open when we checked out I might have been able to question those charges, but we had, of necessity, an 8 am departure and the office wasn’t open. The discrepancy in charges should have been discussed at the...
Read moreRoslyn is an incredibly charming town, and you could choose no nicer place to stay and experience everything Roslyn has to offer.
Our small business (which has folks working remotely from all across the country) came to the hotel for our first in person summit. We were looking forward to a charming wintry retreat—and instead got a winter weather warning with unexpectedly low temperatures and a large amount of snow over the days we stayed here.
Ellen, the owner, made sure we were so well taken care of. She responded to after hour calls with stunning speed, navigated frozen water pipes and drains, and shoveled the walkway between units.
We felt so well taken care of, and so grateful to have been kept warm and comfy over our week long stay.
The rooms are incredibly modern and well appointed. The townhouse style rooms came equipped with lovely amenities, quality mugs and cutlery, and everything you could need to stay cozy. The decor is tasteful and modern. The beds were fluffy and pillows actually comfy (unlike so many places with pretty throws that leave you craving your pillow back home).
We felt so well taken care of in our stay. You can feel all the love Ellen pours into the place, and her hospitality was unmatched—save perhaps by how kind everyone in town was.
