Recently moved our family to Royal Oak and we wanted to learn the history of Royal Oak so we set out to visit the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum! They are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm. This museum is FREE, however it runs on donations. We were greeted by Libby upon our arrival and she was absolutely pleasant. We were then introduced to Mike, who was a wealth of information on many aspects of the museum. He had wonderful insights and stories to share. He gave us a tour and told us about his time at the fire station prior to it becoming the museum. I enjoyed the experience and all that the museum has to offer. I definitely recommend a visit!
