My Wife and I decided that we would have a Tiki Hut built with our Stimulus Check years ago. After some research we decided Palm Beach Tiki was the most impressive. We, along with countless guests and relatives, found it was a perfect fit to go along side of the pool. The workmanship and clean up was efficient and timely. Erica and Mario were not only Professional but also friendly. In August of last year a Building Code Inspector happened to notice it and gave us notice we needed a Building Permit. Mario assured me before it was built, that no Permit was necessary because as part of the Seminole Tribe's agreement with the State. I called Erica and Mario (mind you, this YEARS later), they not only remembered me they sent a Picture with documentation proving they were covered for exemption under Florida Law. Come to find out, it's up to each municipality to decide weather or not they would Honor the Agreement. Lake Worth Beach does NOT...why am I surprised ???!!! For months now Erica has helped me plead my case to Building/Zoning officials. Phone calls, emails, surveys, documents and even a multiple trips to the Building Code Office. No one would approve a Permit. Finally I was issued a Summons to appear at City Hall in front of a Magistrate. I was instructed by mail I was subject to a daily fine. If not paid, a lien could be put on my Property !!! Finally, with dogged determination MORE paperwork and emails, it was Erica who managed to break the bureaucracy to get a Permit GRANTED last Thursday,April 11, 2024..I wrote this for anyone thinking about getting a Tiki or ANY OTHER structure, you need not look any further. Palm Beach Tiki not only stands by their guarantee, but Also behind their customers. That's Me in the picture (with the White beard and knee sox) standing under my newly built Tiki Hut a few years ago. THANK YOU, Erica, Mario and Palm Beach Tiki for helping an Old Man (72yrs) , sleep again at...
Read moreThis company is a rip off in my opinion. Stayed home from work to assist on the day of rethatch. No one showed up. No phone call or heads up. Same thing on the next scheduled day. No show, no call. I had to continually call with no response for days. They take your deposit quickly but do not do anything else quickly. As per Palm Beach Tiki, as instructed , The deposit was 50% on a credit card and the remainder was to be check or cash When complete. After not doing the installation correctly as promised . bug fumigation was not done as promised, nails were not removed as promised, and a lot of the leaves were sub par and rotted. The Reattach was completed Weeks later, Then they billed my credit card for the remainder Without my permission, and before I was able to come home from work, and see the work performed . Tried reaching out to them about the credit card issue with no response. Tried reaching out about the promised, bug fumigation Prior to installation, I was promised the leaves would be fumigated prior to installation. When asked, the Representative of Palm Beach Tiki , Erica said they would fumigate on site but as my cameras show, this was not done. Also, within two weeks, the bugs are eating the tiki up, destroying the palm, fronds and structure. I sent pictures and requests for response with no luck. They are sloppy, irresponsible, and did not follow our agreements, which are all documented. Do not trust this company. Do not give them your credit card Number for any reason. UPDATE……… nothing, no response whatsoever. And As others have and won, litigation will start soon. Again, no matter what their rebuttal Could be, everything is documented...
Read morePalm Beach Tiki was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I had a major job for them—to demolish an existing 20’x20’ tiki hut carefully (we wanted to salvage the wood) and replace it with a brand-new 20’x20’ tiki hut. Palm Beach Tiki was extremely considerate during the demolition, so we were able to save almost all of the old wood for future projects. My wife and I had several highly specific design requests for the new tiki hut—including the wood stain, the pattern of the thatching, the number of beams on the interior ceiling, the overall height of the tiki hut, and several more—and Palm Beach Tiki was happy and patient to accommodate nearly all of our requests. Palm Beach Tiki uses high-quality materials in their construction, so we are thrilled that the new tiki hut will last for decades to come and will be much sturdier than the demolished one was. The job took two entire days, and we could not be happier with the results. Having priced the job around with several local tiki hut installers, I would say that Palm Beach Tiki was mid-range in pricing, but the value of what we got from them cannot be argued. We would certainly consider hiring Palm Beach Tiki again when it comes time to rethatch...
