ETHAN, MISS SHOEBOTTOM:) AND ALL THE BEAUTIFUL KIDS, THANKS from Katie and I... BEST YEAR YET!
New Year time to edit review...Props to SAMMY S. Ethan and my friends from Sully to Cali (she's ok everyone:) to Erin and those were the more difficult names for me fyi. , All amazing. I'm showing off like I'm all that. Haha. Just pride in our fave sure spot.
I open with this because Sammy was warm, on the ball, aims to please, safety first, our happiness second, and my daughter Katie and I really thought highly of her.
It's the 2021 summer! There's no better water park or family ATTRACTION in all of Maine. Aquaboggan is in Saco. Southern Maine, but visitors come from the north, mid coast, even met people from Kennebunkport!
Let me say the most important thing for families considering coming.
Few more reasons why Aquaboggan rocks:
it's geared toward the kids having a blast without the anxiety of whether the ride is too scary. In other words, every slide is exciting, but none are so out the norm that it would create kids feeling insecure or whatever.
Parents know exactly what I am saying. Here they even let you use double floats on appropriate slides Soni can go with my daughter. Same with go-karts. If you have a child too small or maybe too timid just yet, THEY HAVE SIDE BY SIDE TWO SEATER go-karts.
3)Daddy daughter days are now heavenly:)! And one more clear example of the class act this family owned business portrays, unlike every other anywhere that tries to squueze every penny, here, the aquaboggan family realizes fun can also get expensive. If you need to pack lunch and drinks to stay on budget, they are happy to allow it. Of course, the food is great there and my daughter loves the chicken tenders and fries!!! We love u all and will be...

I wouldn't normally post a review of a place I've never visited, but I've seen enough now of Aquaboggan Water Park to know that I'll never go, and neither should others. It's disappointing, since the place does seem like it would be a lot of fun in "normal" times.
Every day I drove past this place, though, I could see that public health measures weren't being enforced - people crowding together and not a mask in sight. I understand this is a very difficult position for a business to be in, but keeping a water park open for months amidst a pandemic that just kept racking up deaths, while failing to properly enforce behavior required to keep everyone safe, is incredibly irresponsible. Just limiting the number of visitors and requiring masks indoors isn't enough on its own. I don't know what other measures they may have had on the books, but they were either inadequate or inadequately enforced.
Now they've been closed down, and they had the nerve to put up a message on their sign about being closed due to "unfair government restrictions". I don't understand what could be unfair about expecting a business to put in more than the bare minimum effort needed not to contribute to the spread of disease. Their website blames "inconsistent" regulations and changes in guidelines, but common sense and keeping up with the latest research on how SARS-CoV-2 spreads (which is part of being a responsible citizen and business owner at this point!) should have led them to take action without any state intervention at all. Funtown Splashtown understood this months ago; why...
Read moreIt’s a pretty nice water park, not super big, but big enough. Slides were all working and were ver fun!! Lines were short, probably because I went on a Wednesday. Wave pool was ok, the waves are small and better for younger kids. The Aquasaucer was fun, the line is a bit long though, a group of about 15 kids gets like 4 minutes to jump around and stuff. Outdoor Landscaping was beautiful. Many of the waterslides were located on a large man made hill. It was a great experience except for some of the staff. My sister and mother decided the wanted to pay extra money to go on the bumper boats. Most of them were old and partially broken, my mother and my sister waited about 20 minutes in line, then one of the bumper boats broke, so the staff told them to come back in like 15 minutes and they were next in line. So they left and when they came back the line was longer, but they waited. When they got on the worker asked if they both knew how use the bumper boat. My sister said “no,” and the worker just told her to turn the wheel and then went back on his phone, while my sister just spun around in circles. We eventually got a refund for the bumper boats, and they were nice about it and said they would talk to the workers who had been managing the bumper boats. Some of the staff were amazing and really nice 😊!! I do recommend going and the go carts were fun!! Toddler area was ok. Wave pool is big. Plenty of open seating. Great place to spend with family...
