I've been coming here for well over 20 years, decent pricing and excellent staff, very helpful and knowledgeable and well worth the extra price of dealing with a tackle shop. Yes you'll pay a little more for your gear at a tackle shop, that's any shop anywhere and this is a given. However, you're not only paying for the gear, you're paying for the service and Saco Bay Tackle has always given me outstanding advice, pointers, and put me on the fish. This is my go-to shop for all of my fishing needs and I'll remain loyal to Saco Bay Tackle, only place I've ever needed, thanks guys! This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review, and for good reason. This is an excellent store, manned by some excellent people that are genuinely interested in setting you up to catch more fish. The advice they have offered has consistently resulted in a greater fishing experience, taking me from the days where I would be lucky to even feel a nibble, to snagging a striper or two each time I go out.

They are genuinely good guys who you wouldn't mind going fishing with, they don't put on a gimmicky salesperson persona, and they are not afraid to tell you what products won't work/which cheaper product works just as well as the more expensive...

This is my go to saltwater tackle stop. The staff is friendly but not pushy. They are all about answering your questions as well, they got me all set up for surf fishing when I was first getting into it a few years back, they were even kind enough to point me to a few hot spots. I buy bait here all the time still and any gear I'm having a problem with they are more than happy to either have it sent out for repair or suggest a reasonably priced upgrade.
