Tucked away from eyesight driving by its easily missed .but if you happen to notice in time to pull down into the parking lot and walk maybe50yards down you'll come upon a beautiful sand beach that's got this inlet in the one end of the beach where it's the one place in sacramento where I'd feel safe taking my kids too its not deep but long and many things to discover for the children ,class baby fish minnows turtles now and then geese ducks and polygons there is ample life jackets supplied for free and many well tended to garbage cans all together its a very nice beach.on the weekends there will be many boats pulling in to enjoy the nice beach and go swimming or bbque open from sunrise to sunset with a 6dollar fee you can't beat it for a day at the beach. When the stripers or salmon make their yearly spawning run you'll find several fishermen lining the banks where many nice fish have been landed before. Great place to teach your children to fish or just get away from it all without having to go far ...

Parking is by meter/displayed receipt, but you can pay online or with credit card. If you arrive as someone is leaving, they may be kind enough to pass on their parking receipt. There are free personal flotation vests available in child sizes at the entrance. The beach seems to be dog friendly, family friendly, good for groups and a common spot for parking boats, drinking, smoking, and enjoying the sun and swimming.

Some people act less politely than others, such that I've been here once and witnessed public urination in the parking lot by an adult male, a loud verbal altercation between strangers, a woman calling 911 because she felt CPS needed to be involved in a situation, some lewd dry humping (if not more) within a hundred yards of children and families, and a boat drunkenly crashing into a stranger's shade structure.

Given my personal experience, I'll probably look for another spot on the Sacramento river to enjoy a sandy shore and swimming, but it is a nice location and I still enjoyed much of...

This is a little nice beach on Sacramento river.. very near to downtown Sacramento.. pretty decent but very small in size... you cannot bbq or drink any alcohol by law but you find people doing those anyway.. no toilet facilities.. parking costs $3 for 4 hours... and the parking is damn small.. you have to wait to get your vehicle parked if it is on weekends... and please do not use the parking vending machines, it will charge your credit/debit card but might not give you a receipt or confirmation notice that you paid for your parking.. you might end paying 4 times, like I did. Instead, just download the app to pay for your parking.. you can download the app by using the QR code which is beside the paying machine.. overall.. the park is good, small...

This appealing, albeit small, sandy area presents a significant safety concern due to its steep drop-off into the water and higher bank due to the current elevated water levels. Make sure your children wear life vests, as the risk of accidental falls is pretty high. Furthermore, the lack of restroom facilities and the unkempt grass detract from the overall experience. While the waterfront location is ideal for fishing, the swift current and steep incline necessitate extreme caution.

This was the first time we visited this place, it was okay. It's small but our son had fun, the water is very murky. We didn't go swimming in it just got our feet wet and it was pretty cold. Not sure if we would come back but definitely something to check out if you want to go to the beach. There are no restrooms so be sure to go before you come down here.

Nice little hidden treasure..not too many people know about this place so it is typically uncrowded. It has a shallow area where you can let small kids play and because it is shallow the water can get a little warmer. Best part is sand everywhere. The entire beach has sand. Fisherman love this place and I have never been here and not seen someone fishing.
