Had a great time here awesome place to bring the family. I suggest getting here early to beat the crowds and get front parking near the skate park which in it self is pretty awesome. There are some bathrooms here but they are about mid way from the entrance and from where the parking is to the river so definitely go before hand or you'll have a long trek to get there. Plenty of beach line for everyone to enjoy so it doesn't feel crowded and this was on a Sunday so yay. There was a very nice lady near the parking lot that was handing out trash bags to people since there are to cans on the beach only near the parking lot so it very convenient to clean up after yourselves and not leave a mess on the beach. Saw lots of boats and dogs so fun times...

I will say yes (I didn’t born yesterday). For safety? This is not a safe place. Parking, a very few spots to park, or park near the dog park which is half a mile distance from the...

The water is shallow, the sand has been filled into the water so it's safe and comfortable to go in and cool off, and there's enough shade if you want it. Dogs romp, children play and it's actually clean through here. I did some sunbathing and relaxing for about an hour. Best time to come is late morning to mid-afternoon during the week. Weekends are probably crowded and noisy. This is one of Sacramento's best kept secrets, so, don't tell too many...
