Great 30 mile ride on a perfect Saturday. Great way to visit a number of towns and the city of St Albans as you ride these 2 historic rail trails. You ride over a 100 miles point to point, do a few hundred or create a loop rude like we did from Swanton -> St Albans-> loop the two trails back to Swanton. Of you go farther north you can even hit the brewery that is right on the trail for drinks and some good food!

Great place to walk and not have to worry about traffic or sharing a small sidewalk. The path is wide and provides great scenery of northern Vermont landscape. The county does well providing signage and distance markers.

Loved the ride. We began at the town of St. Albans and rode out 9.5 miles before turning around. We found out later, that 2 more miles would take us to a good restaurant. Oh well, we had snacks. Take water.

My favorite trail in Franklin county. Its great for hiking, biking, jogging, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc so you can use it all year-round. Its level and well maintained so all skill levels can enjoy. The only change I'd like to see is poop collection bags and/or trash bins at the parking lots along the trail. Often people don't pick up or leave the bag so this might...
