This diner saved our day. In January my newly wed husband and I had a disastrous trip to St. Albans to interview for his green card. Our car broke down, there were no cars available to rent in the entire town and surrounding area, and we had no way of getting home. We ordered a much needed coffee and breakfast from this diner and went to work trying to figure out how to get all the way back across the state with no car, and our incredibly kind waitress allowed us to sit at her table as long as we needed. As someone whose been s server myself I know this is quite a sacrifice! Not only was the food delicious, friendliest staff you could ask for, but another guest in the restaurant overheard me on the phone and covered our bill as he felt sorry for our situation! After an already stressful day turned even more disastrous for us, I didn't think anything could turn it around. However our experience and meals here exceeded expectations and small town kindness goes a very long way. Thank you maple city diner and the kind stranger that changed our...

Diners: friendly, home cooking, fast, cozy, pies....pies! Maple City has all the fixin's of a hometown diner. All-day breakfasts, open faced sandwiches, burgers and full plate dinners are highlights of the menu. The entry is adorned with all sorts of fresh baked goodies. The wait for a table usually is fast or none at all. It has an expansive dining area and a small but comfortable diner bar service. I only have one big problem with Maple City, the food is just not that great. It's got great portions and quickly served but the food is just not that satisfying in taste. On occasion the club sandwich is good and I'll sometimes get a satisfactory omelet but generally the food just doesn't hit the mark. They have a take out service but it is paltry compared to the food I get at their tables. I can't recommend it highly but if you go you will get great service and quick food...and you might like what you get. But from my experience, I can't guarantee you'll love the food. Maybe stick to their pies? Maple cream is...

My family has eaten here several times. Overall the food is good, but hit or miss sometimes with under cooked vegetables, overcooked eggs, etc. This morning my wife and I stopped by for breakfast. She ordered the Bacon Waffle and I ordered the Irish Benedict (which I've had several times before). When the server brought us our food I knew by the gray color of the hash that something was wrong. This was confirmed when I tasted a small portion of the hash and it was rancid. I then smelled the hash and it was disgusting. I took it to the server at the counter, she apologized and offered to let me check the menu to see if I wanted to order something else. I declined since my wife was already eating her food and I was clearly put off by the dish they had just served me. When we paid the only item that they comped was the Irish Benedict dish that was rotten. They even charged me for my $1.50 coffee. I am at a loss how they could have served the hash with how it looked and smelled. Not sure that we will be...

Maple City Diner, what can I say? My wife and I love you. Why aren't you closer? We stopped in, for the first time, on our way back from Montreal. Nice little diner, very friendly service (Danielle rocks), super casual, simple decor, awesome tunes (50's and 60's) and most importantly crazy good -no, delicious- food. I ordered gravy & biscuits, Martha got the corn beef hash. Best damn white gravy sauce I've ever had. It had just a touch of maple syrup sweetness that made it for me, a good compliment to the maple sausage. The biscuits were tender, soft, lightly buttery, and perfect. Martha's hash was so good I got a side order of it. We both very much enjoyed the gently spicy-sweet homefries. We will be back Maple City Diner and we already know what we will be getting. Happy New Year!

Service was great, food was fantastic. Even when busy, they kept up very well. Meals were solid and tasteful. American classics with great quality ingredients. Recommend their Maple Poutine (Don't knock it till you try it. Thank me later) The Monster-ella Burger was savory and filling. The Chicken and Waffles done with a solid crisp along with a sweet fluffy waffle. The breakfast poutine was definitely a winner. Im sure the Canadians won't be disappointed when they taste this dish south of the border here. Perfect diner for a small get together. And their counter booth or table options are abundant. Repeated visits for sure.

Located right at the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail trailhead, the Maple City Diner was the perfect place to start and finish our 4 day/150 mile bikepacking adventure. I Fueled up with the Irish Eggs Benedict on the way out, and finished up with a decadent Green Mountain Skillet at the end. The food was very good, and the entire staff was delightful! The deserts looked awesome, but I was too full to try one. Plus, for you cyclists out there, they have a nice big, clean restroom that was perfect for changing in and out of cycling clothes.
