Save yourself the heartache. Go somewhere else. I have always had a decent experience here under previous management. Heck, this was my first job in high school. This new management doesn’t understand customer service. I took two brand new 37” tires that I bought for my truck and two wheels with old tires on them here to have my new tires put on. Keep in mind that these wheels were on my daily driver truck up until the day I took them in. Dropped them off, they mounted them and I picked them up. When I was unloading them I noticed one was flat. Immediately took it back and dropped it back off. Then I’m told my wheel is cracked and is leaking air. Hmmm… weird because it held air when I dropped it off. Manager tells me it was flat when I dropped it off. It wasn’t. It was literally on my truck that day. But fine… I give them the benefit of the doubt and eat the $207 price of a new wheel. While waiting for the new wheel I decide to put air into the broken wheel(which was given back to me with my new tire installed. Weird that they didn’t remove a new tire from a cracked wheel) and what do you know but my brand new $452 tire is torn at the bead. I call and speak to the manager and am given the run around and told it’s a manufacturer defect. I may believe that if my wheel didn’t mysteriously form a crack at their shop as well. Too many coincidences. Now I’m out $708.99 because on top of everything they charged me $49.99 to destroy my wheel and tire. They knew they damaged it, that’s why my broken wheel was given back to me with my new tire still mounted. Just go somewhere else. The scappoose store is great as is scappoose tire. The St. Helens store is run by a bunch of thieves. My $49.99 job turned into over $700 due to their dishonesty. I even offered to eat the wheel cost if they would eat the tire cost. Nope, they would rather lose a lifetime customer over $452. What a joke

Read moreCalled and asked how much to mount a set of tires, I was told 150. Made time to come down the following day. I get there and I'm told it'll be over 200. I asked why the change in price and couldn't tell me then asked my wheel size. Told me he could do 175.. wasn't what was said on the phone but whatever.. I made time in my day to get these on wasn't gonna turn around and start over.
Pick up my car a few hours later, gave me a quote for control arms and checked my brake pads, but failed to inspect or replace my valve stems that are common knowledge to replace same time as when you do tires. My car doesn't have tpms. This would have cost maybe $1 in parts.
Get on a road trip 13 hours from home for 2 tires to go flat due to dry rotted valve stems that should have been replaced when tires were done.
Ask st helens les if they normally replace valve stems when they do tires, he says yes. And proceeds to tell me they didn't do them since I brought my own tires. But they had no problem checking other things they could upsell me.
Can't tell if this is actual procedure or if it's just an easy way to avoid the issue at hand..but either way I was never given the option to replace them and now due to their negligence two 225/45/17 DWS06 plus's have met their death at a mere 500 miles into the trip..
Either are hiding behind a fake policy or just lack total integrity. Them stems should have been replaced or at least brought to my attention so I could elect the choice to replace them.
Who doesn't replace a 25 cent...
Read moreI have relied upon Les Schwab for all of my Brake & Tire Services for many many years now. What I count upon is that they not only take excellent care of me when I'm here in Saint Helens, Oregon but that they do the same when I have a flat tire in Chehalis, Washington or in Beaverton, Oregon. No charge for either flat! Haven't had a flat in Idaho yet, but I am confident that they would take care of me as well.
The Les Swab Warranty is great! When I need air, I just go in and they get me in & out fast. Last time I needed a new Tire (because I drove too far on a flat), they said that the old one was still under warranty so they replaced it with a slightly used one at no charge.
The Technicians are quick to consult me when anything is amiss. (As with that tire I ruined.) They give me my options then wait for me to decide how I want them to proceed. If they discover an additional option or another issue, they come right back out and discuss it with me.
The Saint Helens Technicians and Staff are really nice and courteous. They always have Coffee and Popcorn...
