Acres of completely enclosed land for the dogs to run free. Open and wooded areas. Three separate mingling areas with tables and/or chairs Friendly and diverse population of dog owners. Issues only on rare occasions when owners don't understand nuances between dog personalities. Many dog owners bring extra bags to put in the mailboxes for those times we forget or run out. Water is not provided here, but owners are generally willing to share. On a particularly hot day, water may be scarce. Care should be taken on really icy or rainy (muddy) days. Parking lot and street parking, but watch for careless drivers from local apartment buildings. High vandalism area at times, so try not to leave valuables in the car. Connected to a huge family friendly park that includes basketball, tennis, skateboarding, baseball and soccer. One of our...

Questionable Neighborhood

The park itself is pretty good. Lots of hills, plenty of variety of plants and things for dogs to smell. The people that go there are generally friendly and my always enjoyed himself and tired out very quickly. If it was just the dog park my only complaint would be the slippery terrain in the winter. Some better grading and permanent handrails would do wonders.

My issue is with the adjacent parking lot. There are routinely people loitering. Sometimes just sitting in cars, more than once taking up the handicap spot doing some kind of repair. You frequently see used condoms and other trash littered around.

We had to stop going when I came back to my car to find my passenger window broken in.

It has so much potential and I loved taking my dog there, but I don't feel as comfortable going...

First visit and we're will return often during the summer.

Both entrances have relatively flat open areas with benches and space to throw a ball. (North end is bigger.)

The park is mostly wooded = lovely shade in the summer, and hilly = great exercise for everyone, and a reasonable size = at a walk, 10-15 minute round trip. The are lots of trails so each round can be different.

The above also = easy to lose sight of your dog. ** Good recall response is recommended.

When they've gone around the corner and don't come back right away, is it because they found a good sent or because they met a friend at the crossroads and decided to follow them?

Rainy = muddy. There is a small pond which is easy to avoid if your dog likes water. Snow and ice = need...

Very nice area dog park. Lots of space for a comfortable walk around the park. Multiple open spaces for the dogs to socialize. Stays dry for most of the year which is why we tend to go here versus some other parks that have more water to deal with. (If we don't want to have to give the doggo a bath). People seem to clean up after their pets well and the city empties the trash cans regularly. Parking is on the street or a little further away at the recreation area's lot by the baseball diamond.

Being new to dog parks, we had started with the high bridge park. There was nothing for them to do with the flat land. After trying this park, this is our spot now. You can sit down & let your pup play or you can walk and go up/down hills, stairs and follow trails around 5 acres with stopping spots between. Allows dog to get more exercise either way compared to flat parks. I love this park! Only change recommendation: need a port-a-potty for owners & a source of running water somewhere for dogs.

My dog loves this dog park! Definitely his favorite. The size is perfect in my opinion where it’s not too big but it’s still big if that makes sense. The trails are great and lots of squirrels to chase lol There are two entrances: one by the tennis courts and the other is down the street. I bring my dog here because he loves running around and exploring the wooded areas
