If I could give zero stars I would. My cousin from Tennessee came to visit and we all did our research on the beach and it seemed like nice little spot. 3 of our 8 people were kids so I brought a open canopy. Hadn't even been there 10 minutes and was told I needed to take it down so I asked if the people next to us had to do the same and the lady told us she was going to tell them too. She didn't and walked back up to me saying we'd have to leave so I downsized it so it would be smaller since a "homeowner" called about the size of it and it was a "rule" & it was considered a tent. Then another man came by on a cart yelling at us shortly after and said he'd call the sheriff and have us removed if we didn't take it down. Said he was "security" then I asked why his shirt said staff and he said he was off duty right now 🤔 $20 to park for 4 hours and we had 2 vehicles. Sheriff did not come. We had a great time after they left us alone but the water wasn't the best, no bathroom and no shower. Very small and in a Karen neighborhood, parking prices are $5 a hour! Do not go here! There's wayyy...

What once was a beautiful little five star beach has been recently destroyed and ruined by the rich elite who live nearby in this absurd development.

The "public area" has shrunk to almost nothing and you have to pay for parking now. $5 an hour. PLUS CONVENIENCE FEE and tax, so 5.87 an hour 😅

Twice as much as any beach along the gulf coast in Pinellas 😄 😆😄

EG Simmons is like 2 bucks or 100 for the year for a family lol and it's fantastic and you can use your pass at all county parks.

Even the Apollo Beach Nature Preserve is the same size, has bathrooms and its free!

It is best to avoid this area now. Leave these ridiculous condo owners their publicly funded private beach and go elsewhere.

But up until recently, it was a wonderful area and the perfect place for a sunset.

But the bay is huge, Tampa area fantastic, so there are other, and better places to go to see the sunset and or spend time with family by the water as these new policies are clearly a tactic to keep the middle-class and lower-income families out of...

Every time I've been there or stayed in the little motel by the pool the beds & pillows are so comfortable! I payed down & fell in love lol. But I also like that's there's a pool & hot tub behind the resort, including the restaurant/bar Hooks, which I've eaten & drank & enjoyed many times before & I also love the Tiki Bar & SunSet Grill right next to the beach with ocean front views & an amazing view of the pier & boardwalk & if you can catch it at the right time of sunset you can get the perfect picture! Plus last time my & Mom stayed there it was actually not too much more than any other place around & much much nicer! With all the beautiful amenities, waterfront on both sides, all though I don't think you can swim on both sides, but it's just one of my favorite places to go on a stay-cay as often as I can because it's only minutes from my house but feels like it's miles away & it's so relaxing & I can't wait to come stay for my next stay-cay which is going to be soon before the cold weather creeps in for good!...

This was a nice, small beach for a quick visit. We visit family in Ruskin and while our favorite beach to go to is Anna Maria, it's quite a drive from Ruskin. My daughter was really wanting to go to the beach so we decided to check this one out. After visiting we decided it is a good option for quick/spontaneous beach visits. If you remember that you're in the Bay, it will help to keep your expectations in perspective. Pros + Not very busy (Monday afternoon in March) + Water was warm + Plenty of sand for the kids to play in + Water is fairly shallow in the swimming area (this may be a con for others, but with kids, we appreciated this) + Parking was reasonable ($7 for 2 hours) Cons - Water was not as clear (because it's in the Bay) - More seaweed (again, it's in the Bay) - No free parking - The shore has a lot of rocks/shells...wear water shoes if you have them. But once you get 3 feet into the water, it's sandy again. - No showers, bathrooms, or places to rinse off.

I feel cheated, we arrived at the place there were people waiting for the independence fireworks and I only found the announcement to pay for parking which we did, there was no schedule announcement, the security of the place was there, the outrageous thing is that they waited for the place to be It was full of vehicles and they sat on the beach until just when the fireworks started we started being evicted without explanation, so I paid 2 hours only to be told after 20 minutes that I had to leave. This is a lack of respect for all of us who were there. They could have said no parking or only until 8:30 but I wouldn't expect us all to be situated, it's a family day that they made bitter
