Great little spot, tucked away and off the main roads. Set on the end of a jaunt of land just east of Gulfport. Quite little area with a long history, in the 1990s it underwent a overhaul and restoration that restored it to a little gem of old Florida. It has board walks over the water and through mangroves, a gazebo set between paths that had a lovely breeze running through (where we had our lunch) There is a ramp for launching kayaks, areas for fishing and cleaning stations. Good amounts of the area are tree covered providing needed shade for this time in June from the heat. We saw plenty of birds and wildlife, great vistas out to the water. Read moreWe have been to Clam Bayou a few times but normally park close to the marina area. Today we ended up parking off the entrance behind Ceridian and it was a huge difference. There are boardwalks and areas where you can stop and get a great view of the ocean and the sunsets. We were totally unaware of this parking area and all the Bayou has to offer. This side versus the west side of the park is totally different. From the other side you are on a more off the beaten path type area and this side is just easier to hike around and walk around, which is great when my younger kids...
Read morei loved this park since it was pretty out of the way (kind of a little gem) and it was nice to walk around. There a plenty of piers to do bird watching, go fishing, put in a SUP or kayak/canoe, or to have a small picnic. There's a slight incline/elevation in the terrain which was kind of cool because it allowed for a decent view. It's quiet here too. There were a few people walking dogs, and some people watching the sunset (which it's a very good place to do so). Either way, it's a nice small park...
