Fenced shaded play area for smaller youth water facet and poor water pressure drinking fountain kid wash area in rear. Larger swings adult gym basket ball court. Could set up net for badmittem or tennis earthen grassed berths for fitness and kid barrier impedemet from running in busy roads. Flat well grassed area for football Soccer. Washed out limerock pullthrough driveway now mostly dirtsand and potholds. Muddy and get stuck in sandfilled holes wet weather. There is garage used for Maintenance, No access to restroom facilities. Neighborhood store at 16 St will allow customers to use store restroom. Very friendly courteous. Accepts food stamps for those needing and credit/debit. Has microwave and toaster pizza oven coffee etc. Beer,wine ,Tobacco products.
For having small children need restroom access. Make sure keep shoes on evidence of discarded trash product...
Read moreI pulled in to take a break from driving and eat my dinner in the car. I then noticed an older gentelman walking by and sat a pavilion next to me. One minute later a pollice officer stopped to ask me what i was doing there. He also asked me if i knew the man sitting near by. I replied that he just now sat down. He told me i was not allowed after dark but i was with my daughter and no other place to go at the moment and figure i was just hungry and looked like a nice spot. At 7 pm i guess noone is allowed. I just wonder how come they didnt stop to talk to the man that was sitting nearby and i had to leave when he just stared at me smoking a ciggar and like he owned the park i figured he must be the guy who called the cops. I left and he stayed smoking...
Read moreIt's in okay park... Kiwanis park located in the Harris Park neighborhood. Not a lot to it. Basketball court, work out station and a fenced in kids playground. Though the kids are always climbing on the adult work out stations. Signs clearly say " 14 and over only". Their parents obviously don't care while sitting 50 ft away talking to their girlfriends or boyfriends. There is a area for grilling with picnic tables and shelters, but I wouldn't trust them. Kind of scetchy most of the time, except when people are having family or friends get together, but I'm sure they don't think of sterilizing the tables first. No restrooms there either. Most of St Pete's parks are awesome, but this one could...
