Read moreOn Google Maps, you will see Dixie Caverns & Pottery listed. What Google Maps does not show you is that there is also a campground here.
Most of the reviews are for the Caverns, with only a few for the campground. This review is for the campground.
The campground has approximately 62 sites for RV's with water/electric/dump and several tent sites along a beautiful stream of water flowing along side of the camp.
The campground appears to be divided into two sections. The 'permanents' campers who are here full time and the 'transients' , campers who are passing through and are only here for a few days. There are most likely some seasonal campers in here as well. It seems that all of the permanent campers are grouped together. It is a quiet place (with the exception of the Interstate traffic sounds). Harmonious if you will.
There is a picnic area, a water filling station, and a dump station at the entrance/exit. Bathrooms/showers are also available. Cable TV and free WiFi are available, although I did not use either of these services. The cable listing shows over 95 stations.
The prices on the campsites are very resonable and in line with my expectations. The rules are reasonable. The staff at the front office is very friendly.
NOTE: This place has an amazing store where you check in. Don't miss it! One section is a very large antique consignment store choked full of shine really interesting items. There is a large selection of antique toys and old signs. Don't miss going on here and checking...
