Split Happens Bowling Center — Attraction in Salida

I’ve been there a few times and the times that we were told we could bowl were absolutely great. However, more often than not we get declined because they’re Doing “League bowling”. I live locally and just want to go decompress with some friends and family after work. This being one to the only activity available in town. I just wish that they would also try to accommodate and cater to the every day person wanting to come in there and enjoy a few hours. Rather than The competitive side of it. I have also been in there when they were doing the “league bowling” and all, but three or four lanes were open. I definitely feel like there could be a better way to do that besides blocking out whole blocks of time later in the day for “League bowling”. I’m just tired of never being able to go because of “leagues”. They should have the first few hours of business not the last...

This bowling alley is an absolute delight. I’ve bowled all around the State of Colorado, and this alley made me forget I wasn’t bowling my usual league lanes. The owners/staff are friendly, funny, attentive, chill, and all around amazing people. I cannot say enough good things about them.

The alley has the modern upgrades, without being gaudy and annoying like some of the “chain” lanes. Anytime I’m in Salida, I will make it a point to visit.

I didn’t eat anything, though individuals from my party did. They had zero complaints about food or drinks… a rarity in the small business world these days. Even those in attendance - complete strangers - only added to the warm feel of this place. Everyone was super nice and encouraging. Do NOT miss out...

I rarely take the time to write a review, but I had to rave about our wonderful experience at Split Happens Bowling Alley. We reserved two lanes for my sons 7th birthday party. (Imagine 10 kids ages 3-8) When we first came in the place was sparkling clean! 10/10 for cleanliness. Rick was super friendly and accommodating. He generally seemed to enjoy seeing other people enjoying his establishment. Everything appeared to be well kept and in excellent condition.
