Large parking lot, a ball field, bathrooms, space to run swings and of course playground equipment! What more could you need. This park is also a location for child lunches from the school district for the 2018 summer. There are shaded areas and benches. Also a drinking fountain. Fun place to be located near the university of Utah.

This was my first experience at Sunnyside Park. My group showed up for Sober Softball. It was a great place for us to get together in a safe and friendly environment. The softball fields were super clean and well kept. Super convenient that they had fully functional bathrooms as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful well maintained park on Sunnyside Av S, Opens from 5 am till 11 pm. Near VA hospital and not far from Harmons. Huge ground, with shades to sit under the tree. There are benches and chairs, covered pavilions with tables.

Sunnyside Park is a great little Oasis from the normal chaos of the city, a nice little retreat just to come and relax it's a nice place to walk and just enjoy being outdoors. It's also convenient because it's right at the back gate of the VA hospital in salt Lake City but also worth the trip if I don't have an appointment scheduled at the hospital I just enjoy driving up here because there's a sense of communion with nature and a peacefulness in your heart that comes with the freedom we enjoy are being able to access such places unrestricted and being able to just do your own thing. If you're having a bad day I definitely recommend a visit to not just this park but any park in this area because it is so important to a person's mental wellness, physical wellness, and overall enjoyment of this life that has been given to us as a...

This wonderful park is a blessing for me! Recently my dad a veteran who served during Vietnam had a stroke. unfortunately, him and my mother had to move to be closer to the VA Hospital. The long days we spend at the hospital can be difficult and emotional. This little park is located exiting the Veteran Hospital Campus. It’s better than a breath of fresh air. A Sanctuary with a peaceful calm. And it’s always there on the hardest days to just stop at and take a few minutes to pick myself up and remember that the world can become overwhelming and full of chaos and worries. I’m grateful that I am able to stop here before we drive back to West Valley. The green trees, the smell of fresh air, and sound of laughter helps me re-center my life so I can get through to...

I love the park, but I have a slight issue. Whoever takes care of the parks, knows that they actually use the softball fields for high school games. They aren't even attempting to make the field playable for the season. We are already over a week into the season and there is no attempt to get the field in good enough condition for the high school teams to play on. Shame on you, The softball season is the shortest season of high school athletics. They have two months to try and squeeze in 20 plus games. Whenever there is a delay or a rain out, the team has to play multiple games back to back and it's...
