I want to share this trail is such a great way to enjoy the outdoors.I don't know about you but walking does something to you. I mean just the beautiful scenery and beautiful trees and miles of space to explore. It's liberating and soothing to the soul.Be sure you have plenty of water and a fully charged phone .There is plenty of areas to stop and rechargeable since I was with my whole gang we stopped every chance we could. But guess what my kids even though they got a little tired and complained a little towards the end made it through the whole way and even made it fun.We like to start at Rodriguez Park and follow the trail to Levi Strauss Trail head. This time we ventured further all the way to the 911 memorial.

The current trails they have are pretty long and enjoyable to walk yourself or your dog. Although the new trail I believe made for bikes had a really sore sight… when you first start the trail it’s beautiful with yellow flowers then next it comes to a creek filled with trash. Continuing down the trail is more trash and light graffiti on the sidewalk it was pretty gross and unkept. I wish there was more upkeep and also most of trash bags in the trashcan were ripped up and the trash from them spewing out.

Not Stroller friendly since there are a lot of steps at this Trailhead. But if you just drive down the road to Arvil Ave Trailhead, you will be able to access this trail with a stroller. With that being said, this is an EXCELLENT trail for hot summer days, lots of shade. There is a playground at Rodriguez Park that the trail also passes by. It's one of my favorite trails in San Antonio!

I was simply looking for a park near work where i could spend time between shifts in a relaxing environment. This park offers a variety of tools for the young and the old. A nice up to date kiddy play area with slides and steps and all with tables and seating area within for parents that cant keep up. Also a workout area with variety of calisthenics. A nice shaded area with grills overlooking a large soccer field with nets. Also basketball court and area for large covered get to-gethers. Water fountains that hydrate you your child and pet in several convenient locations. Also the entrance to the Leon springs trail head with nice wide paths and scenic walks. Only downfall in my opinion at this location are the two nasty port o pots. Usually without toilet paper...
