I have edited my review to include pictures from your website. As I messaged and as I wrote here, your site only lists the dates for the berries. It does not list the dates for the sunflowers. Sending me a link, to your site, is not helpful when the dates are not there. That is why I once again asked you for the dates. Now, that I have uploaded the pictures, everyone can see which one of us is the actual "liar." As for my "rude" comments, I wrote: "What link? There was not one in your story and I looked all over your website and could not find any dates for the sunflowers-only the berries. That's why I asked. This is not the best way to get customers. It really should not be this hard to find out when I can give you my business." That is a direct copy and paste and I stand by what I wrote. I should not have to repeatedly ask for the dates. If you value customer service so highly, why is it that after asking you, more than once, I still do not have the dates? What was the big deal? You are trying to sell an experience. When someone asks you for the dates, simply send the dates.
Last time we went here, we walked into the store and saw t shirts showing the barrel of a gun facing us. This was right after the last mass shooting. Given that, I should not be surprised at how rudely these people just treated me when I asked for the dates of the sunflower picking. As I stated, the dates for the berries are listed on their website but not the flowers. I received a sarcastic response stating that the link was in the story to which I replied but that they would send the link (to the same webpage) for my "special convenience." There are so many other sunflower fields. I have no need to ever go to this...
Read moreFort Cross Old Timey Adventures is a true asset to their community! They have a wide array of fun activities for both young and old. Try your hand/eye coordination at the archery range or tomahawk throwing! Or cuddle up with some cute fuzzies at the petting zoo. If that's not your style, you can get crafty and make a mini garden at the fairy/dinosaur making garden. Fort Cross also hosts some festivals throughout the year. Think aromatic fields of purple waves with their annual Lilac Festival in the spring. Or crunchy fall leaves, apple cider and hayrides at the Autumn Jubilee. You can even book your school (or home school's) next educational field trip with them! They offer a range of historical field trips that are both educational and fun! Win win! The farm is family owned and operated by the husband/wife team of Jesse and Doreen. They are so passionate about making this place the best it can be and it truly shows that they pour their heart and soul into it. If you are lucky enough to call them friends, then you are truly blessed! If you're ever in the quaint, little town of Julian, definitely stop by and show Fort...
Read moreI had the pleasure of attending the Fort Cross Autumn Jubilee and Haunted Hayride this past weekend. What sweet Fall fun!!
Fort Cross has been covered with pumpkins and the cutest decorations for the season. They do hoedowns throughout the day which involve singing and square dancing. From axe-throwing & slingshots to a lovely Lilac Maze, there’s lots of great activities to enjoy. They even have a Reptile Show and a Petting Zoo with goats, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs! The Hayride may have been my favorite part, though! I loved getting to learn more about Julian while seeing a bit more of Fort Cross. I also recommend taking part in the Treasure Hunt—a wonderful way to explore the grounds!
The Haunted Hayride was an eerie, fun way to spend the night. Sharing ghost stories makes the experience unique and collaborative. It’s also a lovely way to enjoy the gorgeous dark sky full of stars that Julian has to offer. Spooky without being too scary for all ages!
Great fun for kids, adults and couples alike. If you’re coming to Julian in October, I highly recommend booking a visit...
