Years ago, there was a Pie and Pie shop (pies and pizza pies) in Julian run by a guy named Clarence. He made the BEST pies... so much better than the Julian Pie company... He told us his secret was a full stick of real butter in each pie. My goodness they were good. We were so sad when he died, and no one seemed to be using his recipe.
Fast forward to this weekend, we went to the desert flowers, and happened to stop at this bakery on the way home. I got a slice of cherry and my wife peach, and on the first bite, I knew... Listen... This is a pie. A REAL pie. Not that cardboard and sugar crap. This is worth the drive. They don't make Pizza pies... yet... but they do have all the pie flavors Clarence used to make, including the very hard to find Mango pie. I can't possibly recommend it more strongly. Get there early,...

As I write this I cringe because I don't want to expose this place to all other patrons. I want to be selfish and keep it all to myself. But, this place NEEDS to be out because they're so amazing.
We dropped in about 9-930am and it just smelled like breakfast heaven. Pies, pastries, buttermilk biscuits, cookies, bacon, eggs, sausage I could go on and on and on.
My wife and I ordered a buttermilk biscuit egg and cheese sandwich ($7), cinnamon roll sticky bun($4) and a slice of mango apple pie ($3.75) a la mode ($1). Wife and I definitely wanted to try everything, but we contained ourselves because we will be back for sure.
The service is spectacular, the joint is superbly clean and the space itself is big enough for multiple parties for 4-6 people. Parking is plentiful as well.
I highly, highly recommend this place for myself, and for...

The assortment of amazing breads, cookies and brownies will blow you away! And the Chicken Pot Pies are addictive!
