The previous reviewer has it all wrong. The manager does not snoop around. The only time I ever had her come by the trailer was to notify all that there had been a complaint about people not picking up their dog's poop. Otherwise, she basically left us alone - we were there for 3-4 months each year from 2011-2013. The trees looked great, there was a worker who would come through often picking up fallen bark/branches, etc. Those are not "christmas" lights on the trees. If they weren't there, it would be easy to run into the trees after dark. The lights didn't look scraggly and all appeared to be working. So the manager keeps her car in a portable shelter. You would probably do the same if living there most of the year. One exception is much diffferent than the whole park anyway. The garbage was not left overflowing for days. It was picked up on Mondays, and only became excessive after long weekends. Not a big issue. Lastly, the pump truck wasn't that big of a deal. If you don't like the noise and odor, plan to be away for an hour or so when it's there. Why sit around your RV all day - go out and get some exercise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and intend to return again this spring. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, AND ENJOY PAYING A LOT MORE THAN WHAT THEY...
Read moreSurf and Turf RV park was Amazing. They should however rename it to Kamp-Kev because Kevin the attendant is legit. He is extremely polite, knowledgeable and attentive. We checked in late but he still came out to greet us and help us back in, even though he had already pulled a 14 hour shift parking 42 other RVs. He made sure he was always available when needed and offered a helping hand when requested.
He also took security seriously which made a feel safe. He routinely did rounds to check all the site make make sure everyone was taken care of. Somehow he remembered everyones name and greeted them accordingly on a daily basis whether you were a long term stay or not. We pulled in at 11pm one night and the second our tires hit the gravel Kev popped out to make sure it was a car that was supposed to be there. Heck he even offered us homemade/smoked BBQ on the way out.
I would definitely recommend this...
Read moreThis was a great find in Del Mar as we wanted to visit family in San Diego last minute. We have three dogs and were hoping to be close to the dog beach. This was the perfect spot. It has all the basics: full hook ups if you want them, clean, leveled areas to park rv’s and easy access to restaurants (walking 5-10 min or 20min further away) and groceries, laundromat (5-10 min drive). It’s beside a Hilton hotel and the fairgrounds, but wasn’t noisy at all. Reservations are all online and check in was as simple as clicking an online link. Manager lives on site should you need anything, but we never did. Felt secure as there is a tennis club right here and the general neighborhood is upscale. We walked to the dog beach (Del Mar Dog Beach) every day, about 20-30min easy pace. Overall would definitely...
