Miramar Overlook Park — Attraction in San Diego

It's a nice park. Small in the sense that there isn't a big grass area to play soccer or frisbee, but the slide, sand and swings are as efficient as any other park and in great condition. Parking isn't THAT limited like another reviewer said when you factor in the size of the park and what's available. If the parking lot is full then the park would probably be too crowded anyway. Great view and you can hear the jets from the nearby base fly around. Shaded picnic tables, but otherwise you're pretty much in the sun minus one little shaded spot provided by one little tree which isn't ideal if you're bringing a blanket for your younger ones to crawl around on. Overall it was enjoyable and did the job...

Great little neighborhood playground with enough parking and a restroom. Usually plenty of other kids for my daughter to play with. Five stars because it's got enough amenities for my daughter to be able to be happy there for a few hours and it's in a good safe area right by where I live. They seem to keep the bathrooms and park area clean and well maintained. On very few occasions there have been people smoking Marijuana on the far side of the fence or homeless-looking character in hammock, but it's never been serious enough for me to stop...

This a nice little over look park with a nice view of Miramar Lake. It's small but does offer restrooms, a drinking fountain, a covered picnic area, and a playground area. It does not have a large grass area for sports, but large enough for the little ones to run around.

I did like the wildlife information stands with information regarding local wild life. I did notice that the fences are in need of repair and painting. The park offers a good size...
