Want to lose 3 lbs in 1 week? Then come here at Lake Miramar and walk 5 miles for 5 days.
I don't think I will ever get tired of this place. Lake Miramar is by far, my all time and number 1 favorite trail. This is where I think about my whole life, past, present, and future.
First mile = The hardest one. Why? Because I still have 4 more miles to go. It takes me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to walk the whole trail. Yea, I know....Slow walker.
Second mile = I start to think about going home because I if I turn around now, that would still be 4 miles. not bad right?
Third mile = Thank goodness, I didn't turn around. I'm starting to feel motivated and I only have 2 more miles to go.
Fourth mile = I'm starting to feel that I can do this every day. Maybe I can do sit ups, girly push ups, and knee ups after this.
Fifth mile = Yea...I'm not going to do push up, girly push ups, and knee ups. I'm just going straight home because my legs are done and I'm...
Read moreThis has been a place of peace for me. I really enjoy running this 5 mile loop and little more if you count walking back to your car.
It's mainly asphalt road, some areas of the road of newer. But mainly the road it well maintained. It's a two way road, wide enough for runners, walkers, bikes and every once in a while vehicles. There is a launch pad for boats and kayaks. I use to come here to feed the ducks as a kid and it's fun now being able to bring my niece to do the same. There is a rental shop for bikes and other watercrafts. Bathrooms also available and portable restrooms throughout the trail.
I am happy the lake is back open, it's been overly crowded. Some people are wearing masks but the crowds are keeping me away for now. I stop by here and there to enjoy it but I haven't felt secure enough to stay long. And I also don't feel secure enough to run the loop just yet. Can't wait to come back to get back into running here. The view and fresh air...
Read moreAmidst the tranquil beauty of Lake Miramar, my recent visit was marred by a lack of clear communication. The premature closure at 6:30 PM, with no prior warning or patrol presence, led to an unpleasant surprise during my jog. What's concerning is that this issue is far from isolated - every night, approximately 10 cars and their occupants find themselves in the same predicament, yet no action seems to have been taken. It's worth noting that there was no one present on duty or any contact information provided to call and get related information. This recurring issue requires immediate attention. I suggest improving regulations, keeping the exit gate accessible, and increasing authority presence for the safety and convenience of...
