This urban canyon hike is under appreciated based on the grass encroaching on the trail in places. Starting at roadrunner park and using the camp Elliot historical marker as your trailhead, the vague start will give off onto a defined trail within 50 yards. Overall hike is a moderate due to occasional steep sections. Trail is narrow at times. From your start on the east rim, the trail meanders down and crosses over to the west side. Once you drop below the rim it gets surprisingly quiet for a urban trail. After about a 25 minute hike you will end up at the north end of the golf course.
