I rode my bicycle to the club and parked by the front entrance. I was going inside to ask where I could find a bicycle rack when I was approached by a golf club wielding "one of the Pro Shop managers". I was rudely told that bicycles are not allowed on the premises and I would have to leave. (I had missed the small sign at the entrance drive) I was amazed that there is no way to gain access to the club except by automobile but more so by the attitude of the so called Pro Shop Manager - who I was later told was NOT a manager. I am a retired US Marine who has every right to enter and use MWR facilities. When I asked to talked to the actual Facility Manager, the "Pro Shop manager" got indignant and loud and waved the golf club in my face. I was told by the Facility Manager that bicycles are not allowed due to safety concerns on the narrow two lane entrance road. Instead of a No Bicycles Allowed policy, how about a sign that tells motorists to share the road. Better yet, how about a duel use...

This is one of the rare finds in San Diego, I'm pretty sure I don't know anyone that has been here personally. I was googling close by places I've never been and this came up. They have the usual American fare such as burgers, Reubens, club sandwiches, as well as carnitas nachos and tacos. However the big winner is the view. If you sit outside the view is of the golf course down below with the patio being up on a hill. It was a gorgeous day so I really enjoyed the breeze with the view of the trees, course and mountains in the distance. I'm glad I found it so I can tell you all. I love views and they have a really nice one. The inside was nice, fireplace was going and comfortable seating. Follow me for more reviews in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Wisconsin,...

We attended a family wedding anniversary at the Admiral Baker Clubhouse. This is a gorgeous venue with pretty view of the golf course. A nice drive through the military golf course to get to the club house. Parking is plentiful. Spacious ballroom with a large attached patio and a bar next door. The staff was attentive and helpful. Ballroom has an attached enclosed patio for our parties to hang out and also it was a good spot to take in the view and to take photos. Panoramic view with big window. You get the entire place to yourself and guests. Food was served buffet style and was delicious, everything from appetizers, drinks and dinner. Waitstaff did pass out the wedding cake to guests. We liked this peaceful, serene and...

I went in place of my mom for her 45th High School reunion. I had never been inside just to the park for Field Day with my ROTC. Which was 25 years ago lol. The reception Hall was nice. Lots of room. The large windows are doors so they can open to get fresh air. The outside seating by the bar is pretty cool. There is a bar separate from the reception hall with a side window to the Hall. There is another outside area which was a wine tasting event on top of ours. It has a covered patio. Very nice place over all.
