Read moreGreat place, but: 5/7/25Inefficient county government operations. Electricity went out at the park, so they had to close down the whole thing because there was no light in the restrooms. It happened on a tue and now it's Sat and stoll closed. They don't know when they will be back up and runningtold. What a waste. This park gets pretty packed on the weekends. Not only did they lose money, but people have plans for parties now have to reschedule. Perhaps they could have just had the restrooms closed. They could have rented porta potties Compare the cost of that and revenue made over the weekends. They should probably go green and install skylights in all the restrooms so you don't need artificial lighting. Read moreVery pleasant experience! My family visits this park yearly for my Uncle's wife's birthday and their wedding anniversary. This park is well kept. The grass area is green and plush. The lake was a beautiful sight to see. So serene. The playgrounds, volleyball and basketball courts, paddle boats, etc, provided plenty of activity. There is wildlife, such as ducks and rabbits. On the trails we saw prarie dogs, goffers and lizards. None of these were a nuisance where we camped. However, make sure you clean up your area and leave no food or trash outside when it gets dark because those racoons will ransack your area. The bathrooms and shower areas were cleaned at least twice a day. Toilet paper, paper towels and soap was readily available. Suzy was the lady who maintained the restrooms. She was very friendly and made sure that the guest were happy and satisfied. We appreciate you Suzy! Thanks for helping to make sure we had a comfortable and pleasant experience and stay! One thing I would like to see happen, is for the bathrooms to be regularly sprayed down with bug spray/repellent all around including the ceiling; especially that sunroof area. I was a little afraid those big black spiders were going to land on my head. But all in all, this is a great place and I would...
