LA Trip | 🚩 Recent Lakeside Camping Spot in LA: Bonelli Park

Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park is a camping paradise near Los Angeles β€” a perfect outdoor destination for family and friend gatherings! πŸ•οΈπŸ‘¨πŸ‘©πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦ Highlights: β€’ Lakeside Camping: Offers tent and RV camping with full facilities including restrooms and showers πŸšΏβ›Ί β€’ Water Activities: Puddingstone Lake is great for fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and even surfing! πŸŽ£πŸ›ΆπŸ„β™‚οΈ β€’ Hiking & Biking: Scenic lakeside trails ideal for walking and cycling πŸŒ²πŸš΄β™€οΈ β€’ Picnics & BBQs: Designated picnic areas and grills available β€” perfect for outdoor dining! πŸ–πŸ§Ί Today we stumbled upon this park while exploring β€” originally headed to another lake rumored to be beautiful, near the convention center in Pomona. On the way up, we passed a famous water park (a well-known spot!), but entering the lakeside area for boating requires a parking fee β€” little secret: it’s free after 5 PM! β°πŸ’‘ We didn’t have time to go in this time (will write about the lakeside next time!), so we focused on the camping area and drove up to check it out. No entry fee was charged just for visiting β€” we took a full loop around the hillside. So peaceful and family-friendly! 🏞️😌 Most campers were in RVs, and tent camping seems better for groups since sites are priced per spot. I was surprised to find people living here long-term! 🚐❀️ Some RV spots (like a few shown in my photos) are occupied monthly β€” one older couple said they’ve been here 13 years! It’s surprisingly convenient, still within the city β€” I’m a little jealous! Personally, I think this campground is fantastic β€” surrounded by amenities, yet it feels like a hidden paradise 🌿✨ Nearby activities include horseback riding, golf, swimming, boating, fishing, and a water park… so much to do! πŸ“ 120 Via Verde, San Dimas, CA 91773 Fee & Booking: Check their website for reservations β€” I remember individual spots might not be worth it alone. Many spots get booked early β€” so you’ll need to plan ahead! Search β€œFrank G. Bonelli Regional Park” online or call for details β€” I can’t share direct links here. That’s all for this quick visit β€” next time I’ll cover the lakeside and water park too! Recently been house hunting, so I’m exploring lots of nearby areas πŸ‘πŸ” #USCamping #LACamping #LosAngeles #NorthAmericanLife #USA #USATravel #USATourism
