Artistic interpretations of the ever changing world. This store has it.
I was very eager to come to this store ever since I moved in SF, and it met my expectations. When you visit this store, you are greeted with the vast rows of artist lending out their voice through literature and artwork, and that voice is explicit, inexplicit, unfiltered, filtered, fun, scared, sad, and happy. That voice is the diversity that I was longing for.
The employees were very friendly and open to discuss the works. I love the cozy and warm environment that I am able to enjoy myself as I read. They have chairs for people who want to sit down and read, and it has chill music.
The prices of these works range from approx $2 to $40, so you have a very nice set for all kinds of inexpensive work that is worth it.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchases, and I hope to visit...
Read moreMy friend and I came here about a year ago and the people who work here really make this already amazing place shine. We had stopped in the store a day prior, and were in town again for dinner when we were followed for a few blocks by a very aggressive man we didn’t know. Our first thought was to stop into this place and ask for help. The staff were immediately so helpful and kind, and sprung into action. They confronted the man and gave me and my friend an out. We made it home safely, and they were still there cornering the guy when we were last able to see them from way down the road. Still think about that experience all the time. It meant a lot to us. This shop is just fantastic in every way. I still have a print I bought from here framed in my kitchen, it’s some of my favorite art I own. Peyton and Ava
Read moreWhile I'm biased because this is the closest comic book store to my home, it is also one of the best in the business. I subscribe to a number of comics and Leef, the owner and 6-day-a-week salesperson is just amazing. He is probably THE most friendly comic store owner/employee that I've ever met being insanely knowledgable while at the same time down to earth, humble and cheerful. There's really no toys or collectibles besides literature here (maybe some CCGs). MC&A has a great selection, catering to all types of funny book readers from mainstreamers to niche fanatics and they create a really cool community through their events and art shows. It is one of my most favorite places...
