Senor Sisig is a good place to go to If you’re looking for an interesting take on mexican food with a little more attention to flavor detail. There is something for everyone, carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans alike. The garlic rice was a great upgrade to the standard Spanish rice. And the burrito was wrapped expertly. Highly recommend adding an egg and getting guacamole.
Great ambience and comfortable seating in the back. Nice place to grab dinner with friends after work or before going to a bar.
I do not recommend the Ube Horchata shake. Not only does the over exaggerated spice potency not warrant it, the ube is hard to taste and the price of 5 dollars for a small bottle is excessive.
Additionally I wish the flavor upgrades applied to all aspects of the burrito and d it just the rice. Even though the choice of firm tofu was wise, the seasoning and cut on the tofu could have been more complex and smaller respectively.
The other unfortunate aspects are the spice level and price. The only way Senor Sisg knows to increase spiciness is to add more jalapeño pepper. The team needs to have different peppers or seasonings associated with each level of soice. not just pile on more and more jalapeños.
Given how Senor Sisig is located in SF the price range is expected, but nonetheless on the higher range of one would expect for the quality and volume of...
Read moreMy sister and I have been long time followers of Senor Sisig. When they FINALLY opened a restaurant, we just had to check it out! As expected, there was a line outside but they kept the line moving. Definitely faster than if you’re standing in line at one of their trucks! 😂
I usually get the Tocilog burrito but wanted to try the Senor Sisig burrito. My sister got the Tocilog (no surprise there). My burrito didn’t have enough meat. My sister’s burrito got its usual amount which is plentiful. They were good and tasty as expected.
We tried for the first time the Chile Lime Chicharonnes - they were to die for! The honey calamansi fresca is a must drink!
The ube horchata soft serve was really good but for $6, I wanted more of it. Either lower the price or give more.
The employees were constantly cleaning. The back porch is nice but then they just opened. I hope they continue to keep the place clean. My sister and I wondered if they will use tarp or umbrellas when it finally starts raining. I guess we’ll find out since my sister and I will definitely go back a...
Read morevisited the mission location around the time they had pop up occur and had a bad experience. To start off the reason we came out to Señor Sisig initially was the ube horchata ice cream we saw pictured on the menu however yesterday when we went were given ice cream with boba that was neither ube or horchata, and the boba in the ice cream was very undercooked and some of the worst we had. It’s super disappointing because we are visiting San Francisco and put senor sisig at a high priory on our visit list. I even tried to confirm with the front that it was the Ube horchata and the worker told me the ice cream was a mix of the two, it was not. In addition to 3 ice creams that were not enjoyed we had a sisig plate that was good however it came with the wrong meat. If I could do things over again I would avoid this place my next trip up. What makes it worse is you can’t even call and talk to anyone and they seem to be irresponsive and...
