The museum presently features a small but interesting display of Treasure Island history. The real attraction is the magnificent building from the 1939/40 fair. A magnificent moderne structure with original statuary from the fair on display out front. The building stood in for the Berlin Airport in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The views of SF are terrific. The island can be easily reached by an 8 minute ferry ride from the Ferry Building for $5. There is a very nice beach near the museum and a good lunch with an incredible view is available from the Mersea restaurant nearby. Well worth a trip...
