I had a great experience visiting the Calicinto Ranch with a class of special education students that I work with! Some of the students I serve are emotionally disturbed and have disabilities ranging from mild-severe and they all LOVED it! The Calicinto staff was so kind and patient with them and it made their day! The positive environment helped stabilize their anxiety during the entire day. Both students and staff enjoyed a wonderful time out in the fresh air. Calicinto supported our students throughout all activities including arts and crafts, horseback riding, a fun hay-ride and the petting zoo! Read moreI am a kid that goes to this camp and instead of all the moms giving reviews I feel the kids should because we stay for summer camp. I love this 3 day experience because we get to go swimming, arts and crafts, pet animals, go for a hike, and meet new friends. We even get to help cook breakfast/ diner if we are old enough. I get so excited when I hear my mom say church camp is starting! This is a great place to send your kids if you want them to go to camp but you don’t want to miss them to much.
