I grew up here and I attended George Mayne so take my review with that understanding. The park has changed over the years but in its current standing there are two public playgrounds. One for little children, preschool or kinder age, and one for all other kids.
I know this park is frequently used for kids soccer games and other recreational sports. I've attended a few birthday parties here but there isn't a lot of space for parties (benches or other things). There are some grills near the library that I believe are open to the public.

Read moreThis park is so dangerous. The grass is full of pot holes, there’s a tall grass area that is more like a hidden swamp. The worst part, that zigzag wobbling slide (no idea what these are called) is hyper dangerous and easy to slip from. I am an adult and often play with my kids at several parks. I went up this one and fell and split the back of my head because they built this zigzag too close to a climbing wall so if you fell off of it you can definitely hit this wall. Well, I did, and ended up in the emergency room to get 6 staples in and a CT scan. I am not exaggerating when I advise, really really try to skip this park.
