Tony Caters — Restaurant in San Jose

I've always loved the restaurant “Lunch With Tony” in Alviso. Tony's healthy gourmet food – at a very reasonable price - is such a welcome relief from the high fat and cholesterol meals at the Mexican restaurants nearby.

So, when it came time to have a “sophisticated” brunch for my friends to celebrate my Golden Retriever's 13th birthday, I immediately thought of using Tony. Tony had some great ideas on what to serve. Because many of my friends are vegetarians, I chose platters of grilled and roasted vegetables (delicious!), some freshly made Banana Bread, Cranberry/Orange/Almond Scones w/Cinnamon Glaze, and Mini Croissants, and a Yogurt Parfait Bar with honey-swirled yogurt, fresh berries, and house-baked granola. It was all delectable and reasonably priced.

Tony also supplied the coffee and tea. I'm very fussy about coffee and this was the best coffee I ever tasted.

In line with the “dog” theme of the party, I gave Tony some molds I have for paw prints and dog bones to use for making brownies. The brownies came out great in the molds and were fabulous.. very tasty deep chocolate flavor and not overly sweet.

Tony brought everything to my house that morning and set everything up. Tony had offered some advice on what to purchase for my mimosas, and he set that up as well.
