Nice local nursery with well-trained staff. However, this review is to report a dangerous and reckless driver heading to the nursery. He was on the left, attempting to make a left turn, while our car and many other car were on the right, in the opposite direction. He refused to yield to oncoming traffic and falsely claimed that our car had “cut him off.”
According to standard U.S. traffic laws, a driver making a left turn at an intersection must yield the right-of-way to oncoming vehicles proceeding straight or turning right. This also applies to drivers turning into alleys, private roads, or driveways.
We have complete footages and evidences showing we did not block “his path”. We were approaching from the opposite direction—he was turning left, and the cars on our lane had the right of way. After we calmly pointed out the facts, he became even more aggressive. He irrationally changed the story and claimed we “cut him off from behind,” which is a new false accusation story. Worsen than first one. We drove from opposite direction (no u-turn)and that’s just physically impossible. It’s also a contradictory to his first claim.
People who refused to learn basic traffic turn regulations and laws will eventually receive their own lessons. But for left turn no yield mistakes, it’s always a big lesson. Poor family for having an arrogant driver.
Hope the nursery can install more visible entry signs and turn caution reminder around facility.As local, responsible drivers, we’re familiar with the old road layout. But reckless drivers like this one don’t even seem to recognize the designated entrance and exit points, which could lead to...
   Read moreI live nearby, and really want to like this place. But after giving it multiple attempts - 3 times in the last few months - I’m resigned to just not liking shopping here.
I gave it two stars because of some of the neat items. But overall, my poor experience is due to two things. The first is that I find their prices to be a little too high. This is something I am happy to overlook because of its location, and if I were to get good service. But that’s my second poor point: I repeatedly get horrible service here.
For example, I went in today and after traversing the entire grounds bewilderedly looking for an item, and never being asked to be helped by the numerous employees around, I finally flagged one down with much effort and asked if they carried what I was looking for. In return, all I got was a shake of the head, and a curt “No,” before the employee turned and walked off. I had a follow-up question that I couldn’t even vocalize because they were already gone. I understand that these unwelcoming interactions can happen sometimes in retail stores especially during busy times but it was extremely quiet today. Moreover, this is the exact type of interaction I have gotten on my two previous attempts.
Every time I come here, it honestly feels like I am an inconvenience to the staff. This is disappointing since, like I said, I really want to...
   Read moreToday while shopping at Armstrongs SJC we; customers including staff were in masks and gloves (covid). We witnessed this male customer entering the nursery without a mask. One of the Armstrong staff members politely offered him a new boxed mask that they had at the entrance. This man adamantly stated; "I'm not wearing mask!! I'll take a mask but I'm NOT wearing a mask!! We couldn't help by being so appalled at this rude and arrogant man! We felt bad for the employee being chastized by this jerk of a customer. The clerk let him in. It made me wonder why not post a sign out front of their entrance to customers stating;
"Due towards Covid 19, all customers are required to wear masks when entering for their safety and respectful consideration for our staff and other customers. For those not in agreement we reserve the right to refuse business to those individuals in...
