Twin Oaks Valley Winery wines are second to none. Malcom, the owner and wine maker, has done a fantastic job on focusing on what is important in a winery which is the wine. He emphasizes on non-sweet wines and specially reds. He has around 10 different red varieties of which I found almost all of them excellent. That is rare for me. He has a bordeaux awaiting bottling that is absolutely killer. Both tastings and bottles are very reasonable priced compared to most of the competition. Imagine $10 for 5 tastings with heavy pours and bottles in the $25 range even for non-members. That would be hard to find in San Diego. As a special add for fellow San Diegans almost all of the vineyards used are San Diego based. This winery reminds me of Napa and Temecula before large organizations had taken over with a huge emphasis on maximizing profits rather than maximizing the quality of the wine.
