La Estetica Wellness Spa — Attraction in San Mateo

This review is long over due! I have been seeing Emilka for facials for years now. I am thrilled that her new location is now much closer to my home, so I can go more often (that is when I can sneak away for some me time)! The new place is wonderful. The room is large, peaceful, and there is free parking underneath the spa.

Emilka is amazing! She is very conscientious, and always goes the extra mile. I have very sensitive skin, but she always knows the right combinations of treatments to make me look and feel my best. She uses only the best products and she is always up to date on the newest technologies (LED facials, microderm, detox wraps). She is also very accommodating to her client's needs, such as when I saw her right before my wedding (light facial, so I wouldn't be splotchy) and during pregnancy (she avoided all treatments that could be potentially harmful). At a recent facial, she noticed that my hands were dry (I work in a lab and so all of that extra hand-washing destroys my skin) and so she did a great moisturizing treatment.

Not only is Emilka, extremely skilled, but she is very caring and friendly, and calming.

I am a male and recently I decided to treat myself to a facial. I shopped around a lot and am happy to say that Emilka was wonderful!! Originally I was looking for weekend appointments but she had no openings for about a month and than learn that she works longer hours on Tuesday and Thursday till 7:30-8pm, so it worked perfectly.

I have bad cystic acne and incredibly sensitive skin. Within 3 visitis and following nutrition recommendation my skin got much better. Not only that I don't break out as often but my acne scars are dimishing. Emilka used all sort of different types of facial (peels/microderm) to get me better. She is also an awesome person to chat with for the hour and now she is my personal beauty guru!
