The waterfall is NOT on the main trail. There's an old paved highway after the initial steps up the hill. To do the Barlow Rd, you go a little way past the historic sign on the left, and there will be another sign on the left pointing up for Barlow Rd. If you take that way, you will come out back on the old highway.
You can then take the old highway back to the car to make a loop.
The waterfall is down a steep hillside. Definitely qualifies as a difficult hike. If you want to find it, instead of going left up the Barlow Rd trail, keep walking up the old highway.
