The trail is neverending switch backs and you just go up up up. All you can hear is the loud truck breaking from the highway. No birds or insects detected. The huckleberries were sour and on the dry side. I never made it to the " lake" I hiked about 45 mins then I rolled my ankle and had to turn back 10 mins after the forest service sign.
