As the head of the middle school Science program at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, I have had the pleasure of working with Derek Demeter and experiencing his outreach program at the Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium firsthand. And let me tell you, it is truly awesome!

Derek has been coming out to our school for several years now to host Star nights for our students, and each time he manages to capture their imaginations and teach them something new about the universe we live in. Derek was very entertaining and informative. It is very entertaining for all ages and you can tell a lot of effort was put into the show. I would happily come back! Just remember to bring cash as they only accept cash and check. All of this is posted on the website. The people on here upset that they couldn’t see the show due to not getting there on time are being extremely unreasonable.
