While in Sanibel for a weekend getaway, my wife and I rented Electric Bicycles at Billys Bike Rental and had the best time of our lives! Sanibel has dedicated bike paths all over the island. I have a back back and knee and we easily biked 25 miles on the E Bikes! Best time ever! We are hooked and will be back! If you like to ride a bike, but maybe because of your age or physical ability, don't think you can do it, you really need to try the electric bikes! They make riding a bike so easy. You don't have to work hard and sweat and can easily cover twice as much distance or more. I highly recommend Sanibel Island and its beautiful beaches and bike paths! Very small town feel beach and we love it! The electric bike allowed me to ride a bike again comfortably! Great invention! Everyone should try! Worth the extra money vs renting regular bikes.

Mr. Allen from Ohio was so helpful and gave us some great place to check out and explained the island wonderfully to us! We have been to Sanibel many times before but Mr. Allen gave us some new places to check out like doc Ford, the lazy flamingo, and the mucky duck. He explained the shell museum and about the artist of the beautiful heart shell in the chamber!! I would highly recommend anyone wanting to learn more about the island and want to do to come here first!!

AWESOME BEACH! BE sure to take long handle scoop basket for searching in water at least waist deep. Also take a mask, snorkel small handle scoop for digging and a strong shell bag for carrying your treasures in as they are found. Lots of beautiful shells if you work for them. If you want plain shells just walk along beach but for treasure shells you will need to dig in water for them. GREAT FUN!

Camped at Periwinkle Park and RV. Loved it, beautiful. One thing that confused us and was a little frustrating was where to walk on the bicycle trails. We were always taught to walk against traffic, whereas the guidelines we just happened to see, says you should walk with and not against bicycle traffic. Is this rule of thumb (walking against traffic) different when it comes to bicycles? If so, this should be made known when you enter the island to avoid possible risk of injury to either pedestrian...

Very helpful! We were due to fly out later in the day and decided to go over to Sanibel in the morning. On the way across the bridge we received a text that our flight had been cancelled. We pulled into the visitor center and they had high speed internet which allowed us to quickly rebook a flight for the next day. They then helped us find a nice place to stay for the night and recommended some excellent stops and restaurants. Really helped us enjoy our "bonus" day on Sanibel and...
