Kelly's Wedding Garden — Attraction in Santa Clarita

The place is beautiful I'll give you that. But the owners are extremely money hungry. We put down a deposit, but while we are doing so he decides to discuss his finances with us and how much money he is making a money. It was very unprofessional. He also gave us a final cost and then added fees on top of the final cost. We even were being charged for 100 people to attend even though we only had 75 at most. And catch this, if we happened to have more than 75 he would charge us more! Again he is money hungry! He believes he is reasonable and an affordable wedding venue, but I have found alternatives for a better deal and more to offer, which saves thousands. (Ex: Michaels Tuscany room, Wilfandel club house, etc.). Unfortunately, we had to cancel due to one of our kids getting in a bad accident and we discussed this with him. He calls us a few months later asking if we were still planning a wedding there. I reminded him that we canceled months ago due to our kids accident and we wanted to focus on that and the medical bills. He said I never told him anything about it. Which is funny because I have the call logs. He said if he would have known sooner he may have given our money back. (Which again is crazy because he did know.) And then when I did ask for it anyways since I did originally talk to him about it, he said no the contract says non-refundable. Which I get because its business; however, he should have never of mentioned a refund in the first place. This place is apparently also closing after December 2023.

When I talked to my neighbors and friends about this place, they were all surprised I went here in the first place, they all said they wish they would have known I was going here before I booked, to warn me about the place ahead of time.

Just beware people! They do a great job for the event according to the reviews, but you don't want a money hungry person to plan...

My wedding venue was great, the food, the staff, but the owner "Mike" is money hungry and will charge you for anything that he can find. I paid for a certain number of guest and even told him that I will have more guest coming after the dinner course so there wouldn't be any extra fees and he was totally fine with that, but he pulled my wife and I to his office during the wedding celebration and told us that the Dj/camera man plus the extra crew that were there ate some food and he needs to be compensated for his loss because they were not accounted for and not only that, he tried to charge me for the guests that arrived later in the night even though I told him in advance that the guests that were arriving later to the event will not be eating. Contract at your own risk because Mike will be at your wedding venue counting each guest and children!. He also made me stop my wedding venue 30 minutes before the agreed contract time because he needs that time...

My fiancée and I had booked this venue before the pandemic and we were expected to have our reception here. Then when the pandemic hit, Kelly’s was no longer able to provide us this venue on the date we had selected. I lost my job because of the pandemic and I asked for the deposit back to help keep us afloat, but they refused to help me at all or give back even a part of it. We had hoped to reschedule our reception down the road and place a new deposit at a later time. The owner, Mike, really displayed the utmost selfishness and I would recommend that everyone looking at this venue, stop immediately, and give your money to someone else, who is actually interested in making your special day SPECIAL and helping your marriage get off to a good financial start. It’s a shame that we have been robbed of $2,000 that this guy gets to run away like a thief, while I have to go to extraordinary measures to make ends...
