My high-stakes gambling experiences at Kewadin Casino in St Ignace, MI, were tarnished by a rude dealer named Adam, inadequate staffing, unjust treatment, and unfavorable odds. These incidents left me disillusioned and questioning the commitment of Kewadin Casino to cater to players like myself. In the midst of a virtually empty casino, my friend and I embarked on a high-stakes gambling session. After my friend suffered significant losses, he decided to watch me play. It was during this time that Adam, a rude dealer, abruptly informed my friend that he had to leave the table because others wanted to play. This demand was perplexing since there were no other players waiting. This discourteous treatment not only reflected poorly on the professionalism of Kewadin Casino but also failed to meet the expectations of high-stakes players. (He was complaining the night before about tips) Seeking a resolution to the unjust treatment we encountered, we called upon the pit boss for assistance. However, our hopes were shattered as the pit boss seemed ill-equipped to handle the situation. The lack of knowledge and appropriate response further emphasized the inadequacies in staffing and management at Kewadin Casino. As high-stakes players, we anticipated a higher level of customer support and satisfaction, which was sorely lacking. Unfortunately, our disheartening experiences extended to Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste Marie, MI. Attending a paid show a few years ago at the casino's auditorium, we were abruptly accosted by six security guards and puled out of the show we paid for. Shockingly, we were accused of dining and dashing, despite having paid the bill we were presented with. Turned out the waitress gave us someone else's bill. This incident highlighted the lack of attention to detail and a propensity to jump to conclusions, further eroding our trust in the professionalism and competence of Kewadin Casinos. The recurrent issues encountered at various Kewadin Casinos suggest a fundamental problem with staffing and cost-cutting measures. By neglecting adequate staffing, these casinos compromise on essential customer service, thereby failing to prioritize the satisfaction and well-being of their patrons. The reluctance to invest in proper staffing reflects a disconcerting disregard for maintaining high standards and catering to high-stakes players who expect a superior gambling experience. Furthermore, the presence of consistently unfavorable odds at Kewadin Casino tables and slots further exacerbates the dissatisfaction of high-stakes players. While acknowledging the inherent house advantage in gambling, casinos should strive to maintain a fair balance that ensures an enjoyable gaming experience for all. The pervasive poor odds at Kewadin Casinos only serve to amplify disappointment and reinforce the belief that Kewadin establishments prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. My encounters at Kewadin Casino in St Ignace, MI, and Sault Ste Marie, MI, marred by a rude dealer, inadequate staffing, unjust treatment, and unfavorable odds, have left me disillusioned and skeptical about the commitment of Kewadin Casinos to cater to high-stakes players. After several years of Gambling here, these experiences have significantly diminished my confidence in Kewadin establishments' ability to provide a superior gambling experience. I will...
Read moreComplete disappointment all around . What was supposed to be our honeymoon for 8 days ended in two days and we were so disgusted we left after 2 nights. The room's HVAC was covered in soot where the vents push air into the room. I kept wondering why it was black and obviously never been cleaned for Lord knows how long. Now at this time, what are we breathing? The main restaurant had no cushioning in the booth rather a hard piece of plywood and the menu had very little to choose from. The only good food we found was from Chef Bill at the Deli. He was great The casino chairs which were vinyl had half of them with the vinyl worn down to the stuffing Looked absolutely nasty. The parking and walking ares, which were all concrete had been patched with asphalt and none were rolled flat which made them proud or raised and not even with the existing concrete. A first year engineer would tell you right off you can not patch concrete with asphalt. Like mixing water with oil. My wife who is blind in one eye almost broke her ankle on one of these patches. We expressed our concern with a Manager on duty who seemed very concerned, his name was Jeff. Said he would look into it and get back with us. But did we hear anything, No! The front desk people who checked us in were rude and what was supposed to be a $500.00 bill, had $930.00 on the receipt. The rude attendant told us the remaining $400.00+- was for incidentals! For what I asked and she said in case there were any damages after we checked out or if you charged anything to the room. Dudillagence would always require the person taking the reservations to itemized any extra charges. This was our honeymoon and it was totally ruined by this company's lack of candor and honesty. I will never stay at this place [and I'm being kind here] ever again. If you know whats best for your enjoyment, you wouldn't either. Sad place and a complete honeymoon ruined. I hope they enjoy the money we paid them for what amounted to...
Read moreMy wife and I just got back from a week long stay at Kewadin hotel Sault and I must say it was the worst experience we have had at this establishment since we began coming almost yearly since the early 90's. During our entire week long stay we did not have one day where housekeeping came to our room for towels or trash. The last 3 days I called the front desk each day at 0700 and requested to have them empty my now overflowing trash and replace my towels, the front desk told me they would let housekeeping know. Each day I returned to my room in the evening to have it not done! One day I put my wet towels in the hall thinking they would take them and replace them. They did take them but left me with none!!!!! Then when I went to the front desk now late in the evening I was greeted with a sign saying they stepped away for 20 mins. So I had to sit and wait! Over the last few years it has been going slowly downhill but this week has been the worst for me. I like to spend time in the Soo and Gamble at your this casino but they have to improve their service!!!! No Breakfast and restaurant is not even open everyday. Service has went way down and price has went way up. May be time to look at other casinos in the area. 3 week update. I got an email after posting this review ( see picture) I did call as asked too. I called 3 times and left 3 voicemail’s to Dana. I never did get a response!!!!! Sad what this once nice place is becoming. Thanks Mike 7 week update.....Still no call !!! So we just made a new week long reservation in the Sault. We are not staying at Kewadin this time...... Last update, 8/2/2024 never did receive any contact from anyone after many attempts.
