I started a motorcycle transport in SFO May 2018 and stopped in at Travis Marina Bar after a trek across the bridge and back. This place is legit. $5 beers. Amazing view. Total local dive bar. And I call it “dive” with all the respect that it’s owed! I met a local (I think I was the only “foreigner”) and we hashed out all the world’s problems. The only problem was I wish I had more time to stay that night. The live music was good (but a bit too loud for me... what a shame... so we just moved outside and enjoyed the view!). This is a must visit hole-in-the-wall if that’s your thing.

Travis Marina Bar is located on Horseshoe Bay in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It in has live music weekends. There's a dance floor and a full bar with friendly bartenders. The views of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Horseshoe Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco are unsurpassed. Highly recommended.

Great spot to just chill. Go for a leisurely walk along the water, grab a beer at the marina bar, or explore the battery just above. When the weather is nice, it's one of the best places to view the Golden Gate.

Fun bar at the base of the Golden Gate bridge, on the less busy side too. Great locals are always found here and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. The bar serves inexpensive drinks, and you can get burgers when the grill is on. The bar has live music and a dance floor, plus there is limited outdoor seating with an...
