HEADS UP - Windy, Cloudy, & Chilly > Bring Something Warm < This is my second time being at the golden gate bridge after years later. From past experience, this area was a great spot for taking pictures. My first experience was at the Battery Spencer (amazing spot to take professional pictures), but the day I came here again, that area was closed and very cloudy. So personally being in this area was alright. But if you want the full city with bridge and a close up photo, definitely go to the recommended place above.

Had a good time enjoying the view with a delicious hotdog from the street vendors. We were using the hop on/hop off bus so we didnt have issues with traffic. It is very windy, so make sure you bring a jacket.

Great location to view the bridge and get views across the bay to Alcatraz and Downtown. Free parking and there were restrooms here. Not the greatest condition but conveniently located.

This is a great place to get those iconic photos with the Golden Gate in the background.

Try to come on a weekday. The weekend is SO busy and there are so many cars it’s hard to park.

There are lots of the hotdog vendors here.

I’ve also seen online that break-ins are popular here - so keep everything hidden in your car and the car locked !

The bathroom is clean and seems to be maintained quite often.

Great view of the bridge with many street vendors selling hot dogs, mangos, and other fruit and snacks (it smelled great!). We walked from the SF side through the bridge, got a Lyft from this location to the ferry in Sausalito, and then took the ferry back to SF to have lunch at the...
