Schweikher House — Attraction in Schaumburg Township

Our group of history, architecture, and furniture buffs recently toured the Schweiker House, and it was a phenomenal experience. The house itself is a stunning piece of architecture. A single mailbox on the busy Schaumburg Meecham road. Turn at mailbox and drive down the gavel road to witness the 1938 architectural treasure of the Paul Schweikher House previously owned by Martyl (artist for Doomsday Clock) and her husband Alex Langsdorf (one of Manhattan Scientist). This is a beautiful home and one where the architect owner took all manner of creature comforts and sensibilities into account.
