Linza Graham Park — Attraction in Scottsburg

This is a pretty nice park, to bring your kids to. It's been fairly clean, when I've visited. This includes, but not limited to the restrooms. It's also a good place to play baseball/softball.They have a descent playground, but if it has rained recently, there are places where water stands, so the possibility of your children getting pretty muddy, or bit by a mosquito, is there. The last time I was there, the concession stand was actually open, & the food was surprisingly very good! They had a large variety of food, that I'm not used to seeing at a typical park concession stand, that included, Pulled Pork sandwiches, Egg Rolls, & Cheeseburgers! I know that Cheeseburgers aren't that uncommon at a concession stand, but the fact that you can have it dressed, with real, & fresh toppings is! This included Pickles, fresh, & cut in front of you, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Onions! I was pretty impressed. Also, the Cheeseburger itself, was made from REAL meat, not Soy, or some other...

Park is good but the baseball/softball fields flood very easily and aren't taken care of properly. I'm told it's because only one man is in charge of the park and isn't given much to work with either so I don't blame him but the mayor for failing to find the help needed. The playground by the fields was taken down early 2024 and new playground was supposed to be put up by spring, just before the youth league started in May, but it's still taped off and highly unsafe for kids to be around but nobody has heard anything about when it's going to be fixed. Really pretty park. Has a cute little walking path with flowers and butterflies along with the normal park stuff. Seems well kept for the most part, there was a pile of mulch by the parking lit that had obviously been there a while and some broken concrete just off the parking lot with an old piece of carpet...it was weird.
