There are two different locations and entries for this sign on Google Maps. I, a New Hampshire native, born and raised, actually reviewed the "Welcome to Massachusetts" first 🥇 before I now make my commentary about this sign. Sad 😢! I hope I do not have to do Basil Faulty impersonation of self chastisement to make up for it! Anywho! Since French is the second 🥈 most spoken language in NH, though I feel that Spanish would give French a run for its dinero, and NH wishes to welcome tourists from Quebec, especially now, that is why "Bienvenue" is on a lot of NH welcome signs. Bienvenue means "Welcome" in French. Though if you were in Quebec, you would hear 🙉 it more after. Merriam Webster online dictionary says it is a noun and the obsolete definition is " an entree fee demanded from a new 🆕 worker from fellow workers ". The sign is easy to visit at the Seabrook Rest Stop. People have been putting stickers on the signs legs 🦵. If I am using Google Maps for directions, it tells me "Welcome to New Hampshire!" in area...
