We came across this trail as something easy. It's relatively flat and is shared with mountain bikers, although e-bikes aren't permitted. The riders we saw were all friendly and going slowly. It's suitable for running stroller but a travel stroller will struggle due to sections of rough rocks. The views are amazing and I'd recommend getting there early for a parking spot. There is some overflow parking located nearby, which we saw signposted on the way out. There are multiple trails in the vicinity and we turned back after 90 mins but could have gone much further. ⛰️🥾

The view is picturesque. These pictures were taken on an iPhone. Take time to hike and explore. Don’t rush.

Bell Rock is a popular destination for hikers and rock climbers in Sedona, Arizona. Located just south of the town, it is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the area due to its unique shape. The rock is named for its bell-like shape, which is formed by the natural erosion of the red sandstone over millions of years.

The trail to the top of Bell Rock is an easy to moderate hike, with a distance of about 3.5 miles round trip. The path takes hikers through beautiful red rock formations and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, you may see a variety of wildlife such as snakes, lizards, and birds.

At the top of Bell Rock, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Sedona area. The summit is a popular spot for picnics, meditation, and watching the sunset.

In addition to hiking, Bell Rock is also a popular destination for rock climbing. The rock provides a variety of climbing routes for all skill levels. It is important for climbers to be properly equipped and to follow all safety guidelines when climbing.

Based on our experience, everyone's first hike in Sedona ought to be the Bell Rock Trail. It is a short hike, but many will take the spur up Bell Rock for a higher vantage point. Or continue on the Courthouse Rock Loop Trail and circumnavigate Courthouse Rock, returning to where they started. There's no better way to appreciate you're in the midst of the Red Rocks of Sedona. Great scenic views off in the distance, as well as around the next bend in the trail. No shade, so be prepared. Hat, sunscreen, & water. About 4 miles loop. ...
