Chapel Trail — Attraction in Sedona

The shortest and easiest hike we did all week. I won't comment on the views since there aren't really any bad ones on the 100+ trails in Sedona. The trail is listed at 1.6m, so it's 3.2m in & back, from Cathedral trail to the chicken lookout point (can't remember the exact name, but you'll know what I'm talking about when you look at the trail map). Total elevation gain was under 200ft, so it felt more like a stroll than some of the other 1800+ ft vertical gain trails we did this week. Interesting tourist spot. Temperature was very low. Driving through the rock formations up to to the Chapel was very scenic. You'll pass a 27 million USD house with a 7 million téléscope and à few other uniquely designed houses worth a few quid. Be sure to take one of the tour buses because if can be a awkward to navigate or yourself. They cost only about 17 USD for an adult, and the tour lasts about 50 minutes. Absolutely stunning and worth the view. We walked about 15-20min just to get up to the chapel because we parked in a neighborhood that didn’t have any “no parking” signs.

Once we were up there, it was breathtaking!

Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the parking experience. I don’t recommend driving into the lot, or you’ll get stuck for a while. People were mean and stealing spots even when someone had their signal on. Kinda...
