Stayed during first week of August 2023. The staff was absolutely fantastic! I will mention I only interacted with them upon arrival. Loved that the hot tub was preheated and clean! The area was quiet and even being close to the pool, inside it stayed quiet. Close to Walmart and lots of other spots and sights. Now for room for improvements: I stayed at Jesse's Cabin with some friends. It says sleeps 4 comfortably but that is not true. NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to operate anything which made it difficult as the electricity went out (mind you BEFORE we even got there. It went out that morning and it was our responsibility to figure it out) and we had to figure out how to reset everything. No instructions on how to use the DVD player. No instructions on washer and dryer. No paperwork or list on dishes and supplies. Would've been nice to have updated pictures online so we knew there was a Keurig and such. A little helpful chart would've helped tremendously. The sofa is the other '2' beds and a pull out. It felt and looked like the original mattress and I ended up with scrapes on my elbows and knees. You could feel every single coil and it would get stuck trying to put it back in scraping you. We held on to the sides while sleeping b/c it just dips in the middle making it not comfortable at all to sleep on. TAKE BLANKETS AND SHEETS! There are ZERO blankets and the sofa is right under a ceiling fan. The only sheets we found were SUPER thin white cheap sheets that served no purpose on the sofa bed so bring your own. TAKE EXTRA TOWELS! There were only a few towels in the bathroom, no beach towels and we had to lay the towels in front of the shower b/c there was no curtain so the water went EVERYWHERE and made the floor super unsafe and slippery. IF YOU HAVE A WHEELCHAIR THIS IS A DIFFICULT SPOT: The shower is accessible, however there is a pretty significant dip at the porch entrance that was VERY DIFFICULT to get my friend in and out of. Someone had to hold on tight so he didn't tip over and it was difficult to actually push and move the chair properly. Very difficult to safely get him in and out. THE GATE WAS NEVER CLOSED! They mention security and safety, but no matter what time we left or returned the gate was ALWAYS open. And we had several different leaving and arrival times. Additionally, there is a foosball table covered in spider webs just taking up space on the back patio. Just seemed like it was being stored there it doesn't really flow with the cabin or make any sense as to why it's just on the back patio collecting webs and dust. I would possibly go back to this resort, but would only suggest this specific cabin for a single or couple. After reading several reviews on cleanliness and service though, I'll check hotels in the area first.

I was staying at the roach/stinkbug infested resort for a weekend event. On the day of checkout, i did not notice I had left my bag until I was close to the airport. Turned around called resort when i was close by to let them know about my bag i left. The lady told me she would ask the cleaners if they found it. When i got there, i spoke to the cleaning manager, who stated, " The ladies never saw a bag." They gave me a key to check the cabin. It was already cleaned. As I went back down, I asked some questions, " Who cleaned the room, and how many?" Of which both the lady at the desk and cleaning manager said we don't know, sometimes its 1-2 people. So how can they have asked the cleaners about the bag if they didn't even know who cleaned the cabin. It just seemed shady from that point on. I knew exactly where my bag was left.. on the counter because i put my frozen M&Ms in it. I noticed that the cleaning manager had a big van with dark tinted windows. I was in a rush, so I didn't think of asking to search his vehicle. I knew that was another mistake on my end. They allowed me to check the garbage compactor. I was handed gloves and a ladder to jump into rummage through garbage. Even though they said i would receive help with the search, I didn't. I found the trashbag from my cabin minus a few items. There was no real concern that my bag was gone even though I stated that my car and house keys were in there. If I hadn't had to rush back to the airport to not miss my flight, I would have called the police. Tell your cleaning people if they thought it was Micheal Kors . It's not. It's a 2022 $39 bag I used to hold my makeup and toiletries. Bag had yellow spots, loose thread, and missing buttons. It was of no value. Reward for turning it in would have been higher. I understand it's my fault for leaving the bag, but to know that the cleaning staff at the resort are NOT trustworthy is such a shame. Karma is always in full force. “If you do any good work, then that good work never comes to a bad end.” A lo Hecho, Pecho.

Me and my family went to Hidden Mountain Resort for Christmas 12/23-12/27 in cabin 4115 papas camp I can say you will get lost finding your cabin the first time after that it’s fine . But on the the actual cabin I do not recommend at all they really don’t clean the cabins went in the bathrooms call had dirt and hair everywhere luckily we brought our own cleaning supplies because we had a feeling not to trust their cleaning Also, we had other family members staying at the cabin right next to us in 4116 and they had the same problems and also had to clean their cabin as well. There was spiderwebs everywhere roaches the hot tub water smelled like rotten eggs the fireplace downstairs in the game room did not work we called and they said they was gonna sell someone no one never came. we also had to wash our sheets because it was stains and hair on the hand. We realize when we were leaving Friday when we checked out why it bugs in the cabins it’s because they bring and drop off all the linen and towels and everything and just sit outside in big bags in their open The sofa downstairs had holes in it plus it looks dirty so we took the Quilts of the two beds that no one was sleeping in and laid on that sofa one of the bathrooms downstairs around the showerhead had a big hole so we did not use it also, there was mold. Also, I want the bathroom. The shower door is Hanging on, barely. only three out of nine of the bathrooms in the cabin are up-to-date so .. again, if you do stay here, make sure you bring your own cleaning supplies, blood spray and just clean everything and wash your bed linen and towels, and rags before using.. The only good thing about the cabin is it’s close to Tanger and all other shopping centers and fun spots for the kids

We arrived at Unit 4047 "Camelot" on 1/19/2023. This will be more than 10+X that I have stayed with Hidden Mountain. We had 7 adults, a 3 year old & a 4 month old. This was our Family Christmas getaway to have fun. This is my honest review, no holds.. After checking into our unit via the front desk we quickly discovered that this unit is in the middle of a construction zone. Construction zone meaning several new homes were being built right by this home and along the road to the home. Once we were inside and looking unit over we had a service technician at the door to fix items that the previous guests had complained about. The only issue we had encountered was the patio door screen was hanging loose off the door. After review of this property let me tell you that when you have 7+ people you are going to need a "fully stocked kitchen" which was totally misleading in the description. I had to buy a pan to cook breakfast in because the dishes were in horrible shape. I had to rewash every dish we used prior because the dishes were smudged with fingerprints or food was burnt on. The biggest pan for cooking was maybe a 8'/9'... In horrible shape. Interior doors would not stay open. Clearly need adjustment. Construction trash blowing all over. I did go back to the office and state our concerns because on 1/20 every single key (5) quit working. While talking to the front desk clerk he informed me that they rely on their guests to tell them when they encounter problems with the units. Clearly they do not! When previous guests check out by 11 and at 4:15 your service tech is at the door during the 4:00 check in of the new guests then items are not being fixed in a timely manner. While at the front desk with key issues we were offered to move to another unit. Taking 7 people who are settled in, along with two small children, packing up and moving to another unit was not an option by then. We were there to relax and have our Christmas. You should have gotten our unit right for comfort the first time. You knew there were issues in this unit that had not been fixed, you knew there was construction and you knew there was a water break but never said one word at check in. You still put us in the unit even with problems that require a technician that should have been taken care of prior to 4p. If moving our unit was that easy you should have taken care of that before we even checked in. There was a water line break per the front desk and the city was in the process of fixing. That caused problems coming and going because you had to pull over to the side of the road and wait until they were done to be able to get to the unit. Nothing was ever mentioned at time of check in of the construction or water line break. A little common courtesy goes a long way... You see... I PAID YOU... HIDDEN MOUNTAIN to make sure that our family stay was the best and most comfortable. I did my part of your contract... I paid in a timely manner, I kept my reservation, I took care of the unit while I was there, I made sure when we departed that everything you asked in your "RULES" was taken care of. I held up my end of the bargain and you did not. I can't decide Hidden Mountain if you have just gotten money hungry and don't care about your guests any longer or you are just so big you don't care about loosing long time guests. Either way, I recommend you all the time for guests and I am going to have a hard time doing that now. I worked hard for my savings in order to do this for my children and my grandchildren. I do not take this lightly. One of the biggest attractions for me to Hidden Mountain was the fact that you were a family owned business and you were Christians. This behavior and treatment of peoples $$ is not Christian but greed. I will pray for...

I have been coming to HiddenMtn starting in the late 80's. Majority of the stays were great. Cabins clean, etc. A few things here and there like a refrigerator not working on last year's trip, it was taken care of quickly. Just left Angel's Among US #4063. Stayed 7 nights ,leaving Aug 4,2025 . Extremely disappointed. I am not a complainer, however , I first called the office. I was told a work order would be placed. I told the lady, being a builder. I noticed the side stairs and walkway are extremely unsafe. Coming away from the house and sinking . She told me to send some Pic. I stopped at the main office on the way out , an older lady about mid to late 60's stood up. I explained i had no idea how to attach pics. And you really need to see it. She said she has no idea how to except the pics off my phone ??? And she would put in a work order. She did not look at one Pic. How do you place a work order on something unless you see what the issue is. ? This is the only Exit incase of Fire from lower level except inside stairs. This walkway sinking and leaning and the stair stringers twisting are a hazard . The railing has missing pickets as well as pickets with nails coming out. I did not see any bolts . I would not allow my Grandkids anywhere near this . If you rent this cabin, please look at the stair case on the left of the cabin "before "you decide to carry your luggage down or allow your children near them. As a builder , in my opinion, they need to be removed and totally replaced with footers. The cabin was filthy. Toilets. Floors , Dish had food stuck to it. I found a chargeable duster covered with dust behind the couch. Upstairs TVs remotes did not work. Assuming it was the batteries. We replaced them. Open up one remote. Covered with mold inside. I did the best I could to remove it. It never worked. The other worked if you got very close to the TV.

Since the kids decided to all sleep downstairs , I didn't bother with it anymore . The cabins used to be spotless . I hear that they now have outside cleaners.

Apparently no manager to over see the cabin "before "new arrivals. I would expect after paying close to $3,000 for a week ,the cabin would have someone doing a quick walk thru.

The cabin has no blinds.

No drapes. Zero privacy from the main street and zero from the neighboring cabin. You can see where blinds were at one time. The attachments are still on some.

We love to open the windows when it rains and just for the sounds of nature. Not at 4063. No screens. The windows have no been cleaned in I would say years. The spider webs are so thick , probably 10 generations of bugs stuck in them. Absolutely horrible. Drive by and take a look. The screened porch has a major tear . At least a few feet ,letting tons of bugs in. Easy fix. Yet no one does it. We renters should not be the ones to do a walk thru once they get to a cabin. A manager or someone should take 10 min and walk thru it to make sure it meets their satisfaction. "Before "the renters arrive. Between the dangerous stair /walkway ,rotting railroad ties out front. Major thick spider webs on the windows. Its not a place to take pictures of and send home like many of the other beautiful ones we have stayed at. I encourage anyone wanting to rent this one to ask if the side deck and 15 steps down have been replaced. Do not let your children or yourself walk down these . There are many other beautiful resorts to choose from. Not sure what is happening with HiddenMtn. We enjoyed it in the past. I wish when I walked in the office to show the pics of the walkway, the older lady to the right side of office as you walk in ,would not have acted like it was a bother. I wanted someone to know before someone gets hurt or worse. Please take...

We recently rented cabin 4168, "Mountain Breeze" for our 2021 Christmas in the Smokies with family. The cabin has a nice layout and even a pool, which is nice for a summer stay. However, there are some things that need to be addressed in this cabin. The kitchen has a "rustic shabby chic" feel, the granite countertops are beautiful, but the cabinets are greasy and dirty; the kitchen rug is a cloth rug and very stained and filthy. Not something you want to see in a place you prepare and eat food. The back deck patio is filled with fake plastic plants and there is dust and pollen everywhere. If you have outdoor allergies, avoid this area altogether! The basement bathroom door doesn't latch and will not lock. We had to prop something against the door when we used it. Both Christmas trees were barely lit; we paid for a nice holiday experience, at the very least, the Christmas trees should have working lights. The basement shower was gross and many surfaces had dust. Looked like things hadn't been touched in a while. The cabin needs some updated decor and features. The biggest issue is that the main level bathroom leaks and comes through the floor onto the basement bedroom. The bed is up against the wall, so if you stay here I would advise pulling the bed out, otherwise the bed will get soaked. We couldn't use our bed the first night and had to sleep on the basement floor.

We contacted the guest services desk on the morning of 12/24/21 to notify them of the leak and wet bed. A repairman did come in the morning, however the leak wasn't fixed and by the afternoon, the bed was soaked yet again. We called again in the afternoon, a different repairman came and told us that nothing could be done; the water would need to completely leak out and that could be an undetermined amount of time. We had to pull the bed from the wall in order to avoid a wet bed. We made two (2) repair calls and notified the front desk staff at checkout, but they could have cared less. When we checked out on 12/27/21, we encountered the most rude lady after we shared the problems with the leak. We inquired about a credit because we were unable to use a bedroom for one of the four nights that we stayed. A bedroom that we had PAID in full. Her reply was not, "I'm so sorry" or any type of compassion or customer kindness but instead she told my husband and I what she WAS NOT going to do. She proceeded to ask us if we were able to use the bed the other nights, which we replied, "Yes". She was implying that we used the bed, so we should be satisfied. She was cold, beyond rude and not very Christian-like. All of the front desk staff with the exception of her, were wonderful. I contacted upper management via email and was told by the Vice President of Operations that they DO NOT refund any money. BEWARE! When you rent at Hidden Mountain, if anything goes wrong in your cabin you WILL NOT be credited or refunded. Cabins are "AS-IS".

One more thing that was never mentioned to us is the ongoing construction. There are currently several new cabins being built, which is nice, but that would have been good information to know prior to renting. Depending on which cabin your rent, just know that if you plan on a morning sit on the porch to sip your coffee or tea, or for meditation, that you will not hear birds chirping or rustling leaves, but instead chainsaws, hammers pounding and large mobile powered machines.

We will not ever be returning to Hidden Mountain. We are taking our...
